Splendid effort. My Granny emigrated from Thurles to America circa 1920. To see a bit of Liberty Square as it was in 1965 is wonderful. I know that area well having visited numerous times over the years. I wonder if where the Guinness is good for you sign is where The Arch Bar stands today. The chemist is still there in the same location and Mocklers pub was where the J. Hogan pub is in the video if memory serves. I'm going back to 1975 on that one. Perhaps some Thurles folk can clarify.

There's an Irish dance tune called The Blackbird and that's where the Glenroe theme came from it was rearranged slightly by a member of Horslips.
