An orthodox rich city combining majestic mega-structures and monuments, with splendid Orthodox Churches, toppled with some central European aesthetics and various types of quarters signifying the cosmopolitan character and social class variances. Just like St. Petersburg.
Have travelled to so many nations (born and raised in USA)--Russia is definitely my favorite place to visit. Top 2 cities I have ever visited are Piter and Moscow. I never got out my winter coat last year and only a few times wore gloves. The historic weather before about 2009 was for much longer winters and colder temperatures. The favorite winter activities outdoors have faded, such as ice fishing, outdoor hockey, ice skating or cross country skiing. Chicago has much more cold weather than St Petersburg. It USED to be cold and long winters but now any more. My first visit was i 1976 and visited many times but finally moved here from California in early 2000.
Action Jackson - yes it’ll be less crowded and winter is the best time to visit in my opinion. It’s quite humid and stuffy in the summer...it can be a true wonderland in winter!
People are never our enemy. And don't even usually want to war against each other. We have government and unholy alliance which breeds riots and wars. This is a beautiful place.
Hi may I know if what is the temperature range for June? I just couldn’t find a concrete answer. Will you advise to bring some winter clothes? Because I saw some videos that June is already summer and yet they are wearing winter clothes 😀. Hope I could find some answers here. TIA
It's usually very warm in SPb in June. Yet I would advise you to bring a sweater or two, the weather can be unpredictable sometimes. Also, it's pretty windy near the canals and since they're one of the biggest attractions, you just have to bring something to keep you warm. But don't go too far, a winter coat is definitely not needed. Good luck with your trip! Also, don't forget to visit Пышечная on Konyuschennaya Str. Best soviet donuts in town!
My 2020 resolution is to Master russian because I've always loved the culture and my family heritage behind it. I am saving my money to be able to visit there during summers and such, maybe one day I could immigrate over there. Is there any tips on helping advancing my russian or possibly helping me learn?
There is one method, that I use everytime, when I start learning a new language - pop music. I can guarantee you, that it WORKS! Not only you will find some new BOPS for your playlist, you will also master your language in weeks! So, I would advise you to check out: - t.A.T.u., a russian fake lesbo duo, known for their hit "All The Things She Said", their first Russian album "200 Po Vstrechnoy" is especially great and reflective of the climate and society of Russia at the time. -Luna, a Ukrainian singer, who sings in Russian and is considered to be the face of the Russian pop-revolution. All of her music is great. It's a mix of retro and soviet aestethics with jazz, trance and techno influences. Check out her albums "Остров Свободы" and "Транс". -Zemfira, the legend of Russian post-soviet music. No words are needed, she is the voice of the generation. Her magnum opus is her sophomore "Прости меня, моя любовь". Don't forget to check out some of Russian classic movies here on YT with subs. My fav is definitely "Москва слезам не верит", though you man not grasp all of the brilliance at first(the movie is very hard to digest without proper knowledge of the intricate details of the "simple soviet life"), the dialogues are great and will be especially helpful to help with your speaking lingvo. Good luck!
Beautiful, yes, but 20+% of people live below the poverty line and economic doesn’t feel well and there is autocratic form of government with Putin as permanent president... So it’s not good idea to live in Russia in nearest years, trust me.

Gosh. So this is the exactly what a *first world Continental European accurately resembles. intelligence, cultured refinement, historical inspiration, innovation and sheer majesty in the absence of any criminal activity/primitive anarchy. What a tremendous shame that the same isn’t reflected in Western Europe (courtesy of north america) due to an absence of mutual respect in the exclusive European and East Asian interest. Dear Russia, I am profoundly sorry for the embarrassment that our western leaders bring to your noble culture. I am very sorry for the shame that our present political ‘lessers’ have caused over the most recent centuries, whilst they illegally seek to demonize you as our closest kin, and not only eradicate our culture, but also destroy the loving bond between us. Everyone knows that the enemy to each of us lies within and in the rest of the world. On behalf of those complicit in such forms of discrimination, I am deeply sorry for everything and the threat that this continues to pose to you in the most pitifully IQ deficient/third world sense. It breaks my heart in every perceivable sense. How sad. It truly could have been so beautiful 😔 Sincerely. your fading compatriots in the United Kingdom 💔

The food is great there and the prices excellent. Two blocks away, on Bolshaya Morskaya Ulitsa is a Teremok. They have GREAT blini, pelmini and FANTASTIC mead. It USED to be cold and long winters but now any more. My first visit was i 1976 and visited many times but finally moved here from California in early 2000.
Я не понимаю по английски, но мой город С.-Петербург действительно самый красивый город в Мире!
когда я думаю о Питере, я немедленно думаю:
Город Зенита 💙
I totally agree, visited over 20 years ago tho.
great looking.
I truly miss being in St Petersburg went there on holiday 2 years ago and no city not Rome, Jerusalem or Cairo compare
Rome is Rome... But also Saint Petersburg is great! Also Jerusalem is really good!
The Church on the Spilled Blood was absolutely magnificent. The loveliest of all the churches I visited. Lovelier than St. Basil's.
The painting on the left at 1:33, Alex Ferguson?
And on the right ronaldo lol
So beautiful, didn't know that Russian city's was that beautiful .
It has great buildings and we are going for 2 days on a cruise in early September, but it is very spread out, not a walking city.
One of the most beautiful places to visit in the world , I visit it 30 years ago during the ussr time it’s on my list to visit hopefully soon
A beautiful city displaying art, design and architecture over many periods. Thank YOU MUCH for your video.

Elsen Xelilov мы вас тоже любим!
Is january a good month to visit the city? I'm thinking about to go there this month
Love this city 😍😍 i'm frm India🇮🇳
I would love to visit Russia and in particular Saint - Petersburg , Stunning City 👍👍👍
The best place to live in the world
Hi may I know if what is the temperature range for June?
I've wanted to visit here ever since playing Hitman 2 twenty years ago
Definitely the most beautiful!!! Visited in 2014, it's such a fairy tale it is impossible to put in words. And cheap!
just wanna settle here :) BTW, im in St.Petersburg and its my second trip. Probably i will come back if i get the chance again.
I have been there 😊 it's really amazing City , i ❤️ to visit again and again

Stunning city
Going there in feb alongside going Helsinki and Rovaniemi in Finland!
How was it?
I live in this beautiful city❤
Красивая Россия 👍
My 2020 resolution is to Master russian because I've always loved the culture and my family heritage behind it. I am saving my money to be able to visit there during summers and such, maybe one day I could immigrate over there. Is there any tips on helping advancing my russian or possibly helping me learn?
There is one method, that I use everytime, when I start learning a new language - pop music. I can guarantee you, that it WORKS! Not only you will find some new BOPS for your playlist, you will also master your language in weeks!
So, I would advise you to check out:
- t.A.T.u., a russian fake lesbo duo, known for their hit "All The Things She Said", their first Russian album "200 Po Vstrechnoy" is especially great and reflective of the climate and society of Russia at the time.
Good luck!
Russia is the most beautiful country in the world. I will live there one day ❤️
Beautiful, yes, but 20+% of people live below the poverty line and economic doesn’t feel well and there is autocratic form of government with Putin as permanent president... So it’s not good idea to live in Russia in nearest years, trust me.

@@N0n0b0dy It's worked so well for the US. It is currently being subverted from within by communists and socialists. I would also like to move to Russia because i hear they do not allow leftists to have any power. Sounds like paradise.
We all will live there one day. Global warming guarantees it.
I am from Saint Petersburg
me too
I love you Russia 🇷🇺 🇸🇪 🇪🇪🇨🇦🇬🇧🤗🇩🇰
What are covid restrictions in st Petersburg now? Thank you for answer
I went to Saint Petersburg before that was amazing beautiful city and amazingly atmosphere one of the best cities I have ever visited ever hope go back soon ❤
A nice conclusion. I have just visited there. You helped me review the sites I had been to. Thank you!
Europe's best city, St. Petersburg is truly beautiful.
How sad. It truly could have been so beautiful 😔
Sincerely.
your fading compatriots in the United Kingdom 💔

Halus museum Ang acheticture, adventure in Russian country that amazing
I'll be there in 2 weeks. Getting a Visa was a pain in the ass though
But it is worth it. You will not be disappointed.
You can come on Baltic or Scandinavian cruise ship. That way you can have up to 3 days visa-free stay in Saint-Petersburg.
I’m completely agree!! I live Here
I LOVE St Petersburg. I've been there three times now and planning another visit in April. My wife and I plan on retiring in Velikiy Novgorod and will be in St Petersburg frequently. The screen saver on my phone is a picture of my wife from the observation level of St Isaacs. LOL.
In the first block of Nevsky Prospect coming from the Admiralty is a Solovaya #1. The food is great there and the prices excellent. Two blocks away, on Bolshaya Morskaya Ulitsa is a Teremok. They have GREAT blini, pelmini and FANTASTIC mead.
I'd love to live IN St Petersburg but apartments there can be quite expensive. LOL. Still Veliky Novgorod is beautiful and not terribly far away.
Can you get homesick for a place other than where you are from? I certainly feel homesick for Russia.
