  • Discover this 13.0-km out-and-back trail near Lake Louise, Alberta. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking, snowshoeing, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are June through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
The hike from the base of Lake Louise to Mount St. Piran is made up of mostly switchbacks. The trail is usually quite crowded until you get past Lake Agnes and the popular teahouse there. As you approach the summit, there is some scrambling. The summit has absolutely beautiful views of Devils Thumb, Fairview, Little and Big Beehive with Temple and Niblock in the background on a clear day.
The Teahouse at Lake Agnes is very busy, but they offer a large range of snacks and drinks. There are no garbage or recycling bins at the teahouse as the staff are responsible for trekking supplies up and down the mountain. Please do your part to help the staff and keep our parks clean by being prepared to pack out any garbage from your visit.
During the winter months, this trail is exposed to avalanche hazard so visiting is not recommended between mid-October and mid-June. Finding parking can be difficult during high season, but taking the bus to the trailhead can be a more reliable option. More information can be found here:

Romans 1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
