In my own case here, I didn't use neck York but if you wish to add or use a neck york , you can make the size of your neck York to 6inches (response is given based on the cloth sewed in the tutorial video)

I use 8inches for mine.
But the back slit is usually around 8- 10 inches from the hemline to the hipline, depending on how you want it
