Sewing on a Shirt Pocket ✂️ Collared Shirt Techniques M6044 | SEWING REPORT

Sewing on a monogrammed pocket as part of an ongoing series to make a men's button down shirt McCall's M6044. This is my process for embroidering on the monogram, cutting out the pattern piece, and stitching it to the front of the shirt.

i have never done breast pockets before and this just saved a commission from going in the trash, the fold-out technique showed up NOWHERE else, so thank you so so much for the tip, it already makes my job feel easier!

I just finished this shirt same pattern view B for my husband. It was my very first men clothing sewing experience. The pocket part was a bit tricky for me because the instructions have you also clipping the seam allowance after sewing the folded corners and before flopping them. I had to repeat the whole thing couple of times because I kept cutting too much. But the end result was nice and my hubby likes it. He now wants more 😁

Hi! I really like your filming and editing. I was wondering what your thoughts are about serging in one continuous stitch all around the pocket fabric instead of cutting the chain thread at each corner?
