1:44 they always look so betrayed when they look at each other. They never had an easily relationship in the final two seasons. They were constantly at odds.
1:51 oooo I like how you’re moving through time in this video, going from Sansa watching Jon leave and reflecting on her parents who left Winterfell and never came home, and then her reflecting on how Jon is always walking away from her when he goes to the Wall again. Meanwhile the thing that triggered her anxiety earlier - Jon leaving Winterfell - is the thing that’s now in her memories as he gets on the ship.
1:56 OW MY HEART. I felt very disconnected from Jon in the last two seasons, but I can totally imagine how by the end of the show, he was just *throws hands up* “I just traumatized myself to save the realm and my family! And you want to execute me for it, so guess I’ll just go far away and leave you alone since that’s clearly what everyone wants.” The “leaving out the side door” works so well here.
I don’t even know if I can articulate anything about 2:30 onward because gosh the parallels shots were just so beautiful, I had trouble pausing and being like, “No, this moment is the chosen one!” Because it was really lovely and a great use of scenes.
2:43 the line about reading minds was so perfectly applicable because that was always their issue! They couldn’t entirely understand each other’s perspective and so they led very differently. And they might’ve known the other was a good leader, but they didn’t necessarily trust it. Around that same part, the “never turned things around” worked well with Sansa’s hopeful face - especially because I think that’s the last time we saw her and Jon on the same page?
2:51 is a perfect use of her smiling at the feast.
This is just so lovely. I’m kinda inclined to think she wrote this for the show, too 😂 we know she’s written about characters before!

Author George RR Martin, originally pitched the idea of Jon getting together with one of his sister, Sansa Stark.
If this materialised, it would have officially brought the Stark and Targaryen houses together, once again leaving Sansa in power when everything came to an end.
This is coming from one of the many articles published in June of this year.
INCORRECT! Highly incorrect, Jon was meant to get with ARYA. The actual sister who he has a bond with and who he actually died for.
@@Dreamfyre_ Yeah, originally it was supposed to be Arya get to Jon on the wall and falling in love happening, but we already know that now it is Sansa who come to him, not Arya. And yes he have brotherly bond with Aria, so it would be much easier to fall in love with Sansa than with his little sister.
