- How to learn from PRO PLAYERS in Apex Legends (and actually git gud). After my games with Shiv this last week, a lot of new information has found its way into my game play and I have found myself getting a lot better this season. I should have mentioned that the Flashpoint mode has been awesome too for helping people push and pull with fights, but honestly, I recommend that everyone find a pro player to put in their pocket.

Met a cool guy in apex one day, turned out he got himself into predator lobby a few times. He offered me that he could rank me up if i played with him but I only wanted to learn from him cause I wanted to improve. Made it to diamond with some of his help and I am really happy how it affected my gameplay. He always called out so many things in game and told me how can I improve and I am grateful for his help.
We all have better or worse days but I can definitely say I improved in comparison to what I was before. I totally agree with all you said in this vid and when friends ask my advice, I could never explain it. Now I shared this vid to them and I hope they will understand it better. Good luck with improving yourself man! It feels great when you see the change!

Shiv is definitely my favourite pro player. I remember the first time I showed Luca some Shiv gameplay, Luca said "he's so fast, I can't tell what he's doing!" Love seeing you guys play together.
Before I used to get about 20-50 kills per character per season. Now I get 200, which might not be a lot but it's better. I realized after watching thatpunchkid for a while, I have become him. Same main, same style and most of the time, i do what he wouldve done in that situation

Just yesterday I got into a 1v1 game against a champ 1 in RL and we duoed up and k learnt some good stuff. I also find that for all games there is a certain mindset I can put myself into to play better. For apex, that's not thinking about recoil control, which makes it better somehow, and just really pushing fights when I get any advantage, but also backing off at times. For seige, its holding an angle, not thinking about recoil(again), and getting my flank on, or anchoring. For RL it's going around the map but not really committing to anything

Clocking information is probably the coolest thing you can ever do in a shooter. In your head you feel like the protagonist of epic anime battle. I like to play the ost for Magi in the background lol.
I haven't really had the opportunity to play alongside more skilled players, but the few times I have, I definitely (subconsciously) reconsidered parts of my play and adjusted where necessary. Watching your improvement and the minor experience I've had is sufficient proof to this type of arrangement. I'd love to have more chances to team up with more skilled players.
PE is the same for us Americans except most of the time I have an angry white man as my coach.

The arc star trick is a decent one I always use a thermite if possible as I find it easier to block a doorway or even a choke point if you throw a couple

Shiv plays the way that I only wish I could. The way he controls every fight is insane. When he gets downed, its usually because he just got unlucky. Unlike me where its because I think I am good enough to 1 v 3 ANY team I see... I am not 😑
As for the P.E class thing, we sometimes call it P.E, physical education (yes I’m aware P.E is shorthand for physical education) or gym

I feel how you feel at the start, i quit apex almost a year ago maybe more (was a sweat in s1 and s2, bored of s3 and quit for 4 and 5) i felt lost for a few games tbh woth alm the meta shifts, i will say just playing high level more will help you get better, i played 2 days casual and started ranked again, all solo queue too lol
My first day playing Apex (im a warzone transplant... if you think this audio is bad.... lets just say that I feel spoiled now by comparison) I got squadded with a predator that had started a new account. I had 0 damage, 3 deaths to his 19 kills to win the game.... He was kind enough to squad up with me for almost the whole day and show me the ropes. Its been a while since I've seen him now (banned???) I feel like I could get more out of him now than I did back then. Still though, I was extremwly grateful.
P.s. As a 40yr old man.. "my shit doesn't work as well as it used to" IE. I relate to you hahahah

You definitely improved beyond gutter teir and graduated to the next level. Story's of the not so shite Scotsman on his apex journeys. You are a lot better but your still makeing some mistakes that most of us will make as the pros play same teams and groups all the time. Play to your strengths and enjoy playing with shiv who has done it solo and that takes more skill. Don't try to be like him but take what you can learn from how he plays and start small see what you can accommodate from his play into your own and you will soon need to rebrand out the gutter.
Playing in the rank you usually get stuck at really helps up your game as well, as long as you don't become too demotivated

It's PE in the USA too. We call it gym amongst ourselves but PE is a used term.

It was P.E. when I was in school here in the states, but people also called it Gym.
Except now that they added the performance monitoring UI I can now officially blame my ghost bullets on the 100 plus ping that I get even though my Internet is not shitty and my home network is not congested.
Just the other day I got teamed with an Apex Predator. Landed Artillery, i got one if the kills in a squad wipe & wanted to shadow the predator so I could learn. 2mins after that got server crash, booted back to load screen game was lost!!!!!! Gutted!

I got paired with SoaR Kobi and LoeJeez for a game not that long ago. This was strange because if Rag Tagg is gutter tier, then I am sewer tier, so no idea why I was in their lobby. Now, I think Kobi and Loe are both kinda douches, but they are undeniably very good players. I had them muted, like I do all randoms, which was fine because they didn't call anything important out over in-game chat anyway. I did my best to keep up (I couldn't) but watching the game on the VODs later from both their perspectives was certainly instructive on predicting enemy rotations, fast looting, etc. I can only imagine how fun it would be to play with players of that caliber that are actually cooperating, communicating, and helping you grow as a player.

It's both where I'm at - Washington state. Usually referred to as PE in the lower grades and in jr hi and high school we call it Gym (but not gym class).
When we don't have the privilege of playing with pro players we watch there content and learn from there

I play with full squads and we have decent communication and situational awareness, and Respawn in their infinite wisdom has decided in SBMM that means our Gold/Plat squad should be in master ranked lobbies.

So care to give any deeper explanation on how to up your situational awareness? I have a friend who is just insane and 1v3s constantly but i dont have his movement skills and get lost on where everyone is if i try to follow him. I usually just try to stay at a distance to keep an eye on the fight but he always ends up moving into areas i cant get a shot off. I normaly get kill leader this way if im not in same game with him so i cant say of its me or him thats the problem. He might be good but team skills suck you know?

I wish they would buff mirage again to where your able to take full control over the decoy like Cryptos drone; sight and all, BUT you shoot a “mirage’d weapon/fake bullets” ... that would seriously eliminate Third Party Legends.... every sweat will come rushing in just for a decoy and you spring out clapping cheeks

That's what my dad did to me on smash bros lol never ever let me win a match. My mom actually got mad at him and he said back to her something like, he has to earn a win I'm not going to just let him. Now he doesn't have a chance to even take 1 stock from me. Fun times
Sometimes we call it Gym Class here in America, sometimes we call it P.E. It really just depends on what we feel like calling it at the time.

aye bradda RagTag, and I say this just because im mostly Scottish and of clan Davidson but live in the Ustates....hope u put a eye on this but would like to just say your not alone in the quest to improve and just become better...Im a scruff 52yr old gamer and mainly started playing Apex(seas4) to spend more time w my sons...It became addicting...Never had been a big BR guy myself and mainly enjoy DS-HackNslash, RPG, FPS, and the likes...Quake3A tho changed that allot "back in the day" and curious if you go back that far?...I still have it installed, mods n all..heh....Crysis series was another really damn nice game and even the likes of BulletStorm which I thought was just fun and had certain things we see more in other games...beyond all this Id just like to compliment your streaming style and humor toward the entire mess of it all...Really enjoy your vids and appreciate it m8, keep up the hard work!....cheers!...aka Bl00dRain_FOE20
oh on playing with Pros...Ive run with Soar_Jonny and mostly been killed plenty by other monsters..like Shroud, CrazyRachet, Chicken9man, etc.....ive never even put a bullet on most of them...thnx again for all your effort...cheers!
@@foe20abnormal59 Sup, brotha. Yep, I played Q3A and even earlier, right back to the old Q1 games on DM6 for those classic 1v1 battles on those dial up servers. I could even be found connecting to my friend's modem through his phoneline (which would leave it as call busy all night long) for the earliest pvp games of GTA 1 and C&C....so yes, all the way back here!
