- Papers Please Ending 18
The inspector escapes to Obristan with all of his living family members.
Possible at the end of days 29, 30 and 31 if the inspector has at least one Obristan passport and 25 credits per family member available. The maximum amount needed is six passports and 150 credits if the niece was adopted on day 21 and everyone else is still alive.
Imagine how that guy felt after 5 citations in one go
6
"ah dammit, i lost so much credits. Guess you're not getting any medicine son"
Obristan inspector: what? Forged passport?
Citations printer: 30 credit
"Invalid issuing city"
*Cobristan is not a real country* *x6*
I like how it gives a glimpse of how Jorji got away with everything in Obristan. And why he was so shocked that Arstotzka wouldn’t let get by
true lol
true
Taking into account that to get to the Grestin Border Post you have to go through Kolechia, it could be that he has already gotten his way
I think something very important about this ending and the other Obristan ending is that despite you seeing how bad the forged documents are, the Obristan inspector doesn't see it, showing how far you've come as an inspector
Didn’t even think of it like that
Good Observation!
I always thought that they [The passpports] were good, it's just that we are so stressed everything looks incorrect to us ( much like if you try to cook something for your SO and you keep thinking it went bad, it tastes terrible, They'll spit it out and leave, where in fact it's really tasty, but you were stressed and looked for wrongings where there weren't any)
@@SnowChickenFlake agree! This is what i thought when the caption said “they look terrible”. Well yes it looks terrible to the one who made it because he knows how fake it is, but to other people it looks perfect. I mean he WAS an inspector, sure he knows what’s fake and what’s original.
I thought the point was that the Obristan inspector showed mercy.
He knew full well that he was stamping crappily forged passports.
Its supposed to show what its like to be on the side of the inspection booth.
Helping EZIC All the way and betray them in the end before moving to Obristan.
10/10
Why do I want to see this addressed in a custom ending?
RaceBandit
*Kachunk*
Sorry, you're denied.
ENDING 22
Man i did that!
Well, tecnically he' s not betraying them, i think?
LMAO I did that. After they crash into the area, one of them was coming towards to the cabin so I thought they would betray me. Because when we kill the man in red they say that they cannot provide further support and we are faced death. So I could not trust them!
But after I get ending 16, I wondered what would happen if I did not kill them. It turned out that they would not betray me. It led to Ending 19.
It would've been funny if you arrived at the Obristan checkpoint and Jorji was the dude in the booth. Turns out he was an inspector too
Its who I expected to be behind the booth
That would explain so much on why he’s so cordial and tolerant of you denying his phony passports, he knows what life is like inside the booth and can personally relate to the stress you’re under
Somebody make this a custom ending.
That’s him
Nahh when jorji faked his passport the second time he visits you, he wrote "Men" as his gender, his ass is NOT an inspector
This happy music kills all tension, it should start playing after all the documents have been approved, since the game says that your documents are forged very poorly.
CaptainJackValdy's Crew It doesn't fit in with the style of the game.
Music doesn’t really suddenly change in papers please tho
You literally manage to dodge the biggest bullet ever and not just you your loved ones as well by simply getting lucky and managing to travel with little problem to a peaceful nation i think the music fits considering the insane relief the player who got this ending must feel at the moment
@@TheGameDomeGuy Yea, but a little tension after the stompings would fit really well. No music at all, then KACHUNK, KACHUNK, KACHUNK, you click next and THEN the happy music starts. Missed opportunity
@@mr.washingtonsbuddy.8454 yeah true true, i think it was mostly a thing regarding the engine of the game

What would have been epic would be the Obristan-guy saying "Papers, please" instead of "Your documents". That would have been great because it kinda puts you in the exact same situation you put hundreds of others into xD
I dunno, I think it's better this way. It's difrent country, so some things are similar, yet difrent. Like the end, where instead of glory to Obristan it's Obristan above all
@@michman116 agreed
@@michman116 Yeah, they are even more lax on the entry requirements, it's basically day 3 border all the time there.
Bro we understood the joke you didn’t have to over explain you weirdo
Glory to Obristan
The shot of the Obristan inspector asking for the papers hit me so hard I almost cried. It gave such huge emotional weight to the NPCs I’d processed without second thought when i was put in their shoes.
What a good game
Obris Inspector: Accepts Arstotzkan Inspector and His Family
Also Obris Inspector: Oh sh*t
*Gets ending 1*
Why don't we have a game when YOU are the obristan inspector and day 28 should be when the Arstotzkan inspector come
Those are obristanians too. Both inspectors from Obristan
Well..there is a theory that since the obristan inspector said "welcome to obristan", but since the player only says "welcome"to foreigners, the obristan inspector may actually know that the player is not obristan, but decided to just let the player come in.
Quite possible.
I like to think that when they hesitate on the last person, he realizes his mistake, but is too lazy to do the inspection tool on all the passports so he just decides to let you in.
@@channelname9256 That theory is wrong because the same situation happens even if you go alone. He hesitates to let you in.
Maybe their politics was "Just let Arkzoksztans in".

@@IVBW-by8lf The Romanian Black League's flag
Best ending in the game.
I see a lot of arguments over Ending 19 or Ending 20, but I really think this is the best one. Helping EZIC is all well and good, but the end seems to hint at the fact that EZIC may just become another corrupt nation, which would follow history pretty well, as that's what usually happens.
Ending 20 is fine I guess, you just go back to work and live the game til the end of your days.
But this one, its perfect. You just dip. I've always liked endings where a character manages to escape from a bad situation by the skin of their teeth, and this ending scratches that itch very well, especially if you only do like 2 EZIC tasks by day 31, and if you don't escape you get Effed In The Ay™. Yeah, it's just great, and will remain my favourite ending forever. Great game, great ending.
I agree ^.^ i also like ending 19 because i like to think EZIC actually doesnt betray us, but what u say is true lol; and ending 20 because we get to keep having our normal life and we still in the same country as our friends (eliza and sergiu, and the lady in nirk or the football fan)
@@lamby8845 i never trusted EZIC tbh. the fact that they wanted the inspector to murder someone or let a terror attack slide makes them just as morally gray as Arstotzka. not to mention that sergiu’s and calensk’s and vonel’s safety would be in question (yes i included vonel, he was just doing his job and isn’t rude, unlike dimitri who’s just arrogant and corrupt). EZIC could end up like Democria in the Republia Times game, where nothing changes except for the government; it’s still just as bad.
End of the days of what. Shut up and get lost
I wish the Obristan inspector said "Papers, please."
I have no life. It’s obristan and that why he say your documents? Intead of paper please
The inspector be like : oh how the tables have turned
God bless jorji. I detained him like 5 times and he still came in clutch. Cobrastan above all!
How dare you detain Jorji!
Just finished Papers Please and my God you're a villain for detaining him at all. Every time there's a choice to detain him, I instead just deny him and let him come back another time.

Putting you on the other side of the immigration booth is such a brilliant way to end the story.
Honestly this ending is really the ending that made me reflect the most.
I got the tokens for those events that made the inspector make certain overall good moral choices. After that I felt as though this was good karma for the inspector in my playthrough
Basically a “I don gib shit, gib papers” moment by the Obristani inspector lol
I bet that the Obristan inspector thinks Cobrastan is a real country !

six actually, there are six passports for each member + inspector
We don't know if Obristan cares about escaping Arstotzkans.
Then the Obristan inspector receives 6 citations and discounts his whole salary that day
I think this is the ending that most people would do in real life ... if you had a family i think you'd bring them to safety instead of being with the revolutionary ezic or the dictatorship of Arstotzka ...just saying..and sorry for my english :)
+Luis Galvan yeah even if you were going to pass the audit, which you wouldn't know yet, (ending 20) or you'd helped EZIC begin overthrowing the government (ending 19), it's still uncertain enough to want to leave with your family
+Luis Galvan the epic doesn't shoot civilians. only officials of the corrupt government. they want to end the corruption. not take over the corrupt government.
this is a 2 year old comment but still, you were kinda proven right by the Syrian civil war, where most chose not to side with the dictatorship or revolutionary's and instead flee.
not only by the syrian civil war,,,but in every civil war , I'm from latin america , and we know what it is leaving our countries because of "internal affairs".
NoLuis Galvan
I feel like this ending and the Ezic ending (the one where you fully help them)
Are the best endings. This ending because Jorji and it feels natural for the inspector to want to escape to another country to flee the corrupted government. The Ezic ending is also good because they ensure the Inspector and his families' safety while they end the corrupt Arstotzkan government.
You are under arrest for not siding with Arstotzka.
This represents treason of the highest order.
The penalty is death.
Your family will be questioned about their involvement.
Glory to Arstotzka.
Ending 20: EZIC are full of lies and Kolechian Puppet. Glory to Arstotzka.
Update: We do not know if Obristan is corrupt or even more corrupt than Arstotzka so this ending might be worse than ending 20.
@@azfaarrealm9426 I thought Jorji said at the game that Obristan was better and not corrupt at all?
@@TankEngine75 He is from Obristan, we don't know if he is blinded on how oppressive his country is just because he feels patriotic. Also, I do not remember Jorji saying that

"A replacement inspector will be found easily"
Yeah, like he has the tranquilizer gun or sniper.
"Passport: invalid issuing city" x6
Orbi border inspector: Sh*t, Guess my family is done for.
I would choose Ezic ending. they r well organized, well funded, care about their agents and their families, and r sworn to keep Arstozka free from the corrupt and tyrannical. side with them, u kill the informant, u will be sentenced to death and Arstozka sends troops to collect ur family but Ezic agents got there 1st and rescue ur family. help them with destroying the border checkpoint and they get u and ur family to safety and make u a official agent of Ezic and place ur family in a safer and more comfortable home
GodofGames2468 Except you should consider who the inspector is, He’s a man who needs to feed his family and guarantee their safety, If he’s risk aiding with revolutionaries then he’s be endangering his family’s lives, If any ending were to make sense, He’d it would be the one where the government remains in power or escape to orbistan
I’m skeptical of EZIC, they claim to fight tyranny and corruption but the tactics they use to get rid of people who are a nuisance to them is terrifyingly close to Arstotska’s, so they might just replace the government while changing nothing for the average poverty stricken person
So this is this like a good ending?
Yes. There are 3 good endings
Ending 18: Escaping to Obristan with family
Ending 19: Good EZIC ending (complete 4/5) EZIC tasks throughout game)
Ending 20: Remain loyal to Arstotzka (complete no EZIC tasks)

Thank you for showing me this ending my life has changed for the better after watching
Plot twist, Jorji wanted to bring the inspector to his home so things could get sexy in there XD
My inspector story: Never helping ezic, dont letting any ezic agent in even if they have correct passport. In the end inspector got terrified and wanted his family and himself to go someplace safer.
For the people wondering what happened to the inspector and his family moved to obristan:
He moved to a apartment and lived there thats it.
There is more about what happened to him
So basically in a game called "beholder" you'll meet some guy called "georg deriman" he mentions stuff about how his son was always sick,he also mentions that he used to be a inspector and his complete family is there too,his wife also mentions that he used to kill the people who tried to destroy the checkpoint and the wall which is all related to papers, please
Idk if that makes any sense.
Please research more about it so you can understand it better.
