Hi Stuart, had my slowpoke for nearly three years and recently tried it on 4s for the first time. It flew well, but the ESC got very very hot. I switched the prop from a 12x6 to an 11x6 and now the ESC just gets warm. Am using stock 40a ESC that cam with blue slowpoke in 2020. Andy in UK.
I REALLY like this aircraft. In the past ( in my better days before my health issues ), I would see it at HK but always passed it up because it looked duffy. What a mistake. I will see if a flight simulator has one or similar for me to try.
Mine came today, first order from Hobbyking of the relaunched UK warehouse for a long long time. Good price as well, but can tell it's made by Xfly as you can tell the quality and build is same.

The fast pass is hilarious on 4s! I have a question about your radio. I also have a TX10i, and the gimbals are so soft on it that I've relegated it to a spare radio. I tried to get stiffer springs for it, but the recommended Futaba springs were double the size of the ones in the TX10i. Are there actually stiffer springs that will fit it?
Great vid, Thanks. I have one of these still in the box and appreciate any info that comes along. In this vid you mention another about modifications that is linked below. I can’t find it. Can I expect it to follow?
And that comment isn't to blast you hobby king I love your company it's just basically impossible to contact you to inquire I've sent emails trying to see if there was any news or even a timeline and you just get redirected to a blog...I would love to spend my money with your company but there's nothing to buy lol
I am determined to recover use of my left arm & hand, for the sake of flying again after suffering a cerebral stroke, which nearly killed me, now about 1-year ago. My arm is coming along but the hand recovery is slower, however that's what my physician told me to expect anyway. Walking is not as much of a problem.
Good luck with your recovery. A year is not that long of a time period and the brain is a mysterious organ. I think your desire and determination are crucial in taking the steps towards a level of recovery. I'm guessing that some days are better than others but don't let that derail your focus or attitude. I am also wondering if you have a RC flight simulator or access to one. It might be worth a consideration and a benefit to your recovery. Having myself cared for someone who suffered a stroke my heart goes out to you. Don't lose sight of your gratitude and hope. My best and good luck to you!
@@sanexup1038 Thank you ever so much ! It means a lot to me. This right-side cerebral stroke, struck just suddenly without any warning. As I mentioned, I almost died. It's truly a wonder I am still here because I was alone & paralyzed to call for help. It's truly a miracle I was able to get out of the house and yell for help with my last bit of energy. I spent close to one month in the hospital. What I saw surprised me. There were cerebral stroke patients from age 20 on up. I was lucky to have a right-side cerebral stroke vs a left-side since only my mobility on my left-side was affected and not my speech nor cognitive ability when it's a left-side cerebral stroke.

@@sanexup1038 YES. And I am looking to do some computer flight-simulator flying. It's the winter months here in the northern parts of the US anyway. I have been using the free download FMS ( Flying Model Simulator ) and for now it's good enough.

Glad to see this get some love. I just bought one a few weeks ago. I fly mine on a 4S 2200. This is a great little sport plane.
Yes it is indeed, glad you're enjoying it too.
Bought my slowpoke at this years Neat Fair from hobbyking and it is now my new favorite plane currently it just barely beats out it my Conscendo evo
Hey, your buy it now link is the link to the video! Otherwise another great review!
Wow Stuart I've never seen one flown that well! That looks like an awesome sport plane, and I'll bet it will do some tumbles as well!
I'm sure the model can Tumble, its just I can't ;) Stuart.
@HobbyKing Stuart, if we ever get a chance to fly together again... it will take me ten minutes to have you tumbling like a boss.

Two brave nuts out in the cold.
Nice video gentlemen.
4s really stabbed that poke 🤣!!
AirHammer out!!
Thanks AirHammer, the cold was worth it, she's such a nice flyer.
I guess making the HELPFUL suggestion to use " Hot Hands " hand warmers was just too kind for Google to accept. My comment eventually got deleted.

HK is basically an image of its owner. Has been and seems to be the way it will stay. Enough said !
Pity you closed Aussie Warehouse, spent thousand with HobbyKing over the years.......the owner is a traitor to all Aussies
AU Warehouse is not closed and being relaunched. We just replenished it with new SKUs
