- In the first TV episode of 2017, the Bassmaster Elite Series anglers compete on Lake Cherokee and Okeechobee Lake. A new wave of bass fishermen take center stage at the first event of the season, but a veteran rises to the top at Okeechobee Lake.

Love the show but why are these two combined into one episode?
Some Elite events are combined in 1 show this year, but not all of them. For example, TexasFest is 2 shows. love the elite shows but hate the two show format, some of us don't have time to watch live so it's really awesome to get as much coverage as possible in the 1 hour show.

They need to get off of espn. They combine 2 tournaments in one episode. If BASS don’t get their stuff together. They will get left behind.
Everytime Horton went to land a fish i cringed.
why aren't they aloud to use a net
The net ban stretches back to the beginnings of B.A.S.S. competition. Ray Scott was insistent that anglers land their fish by hand. Also, the Elite Series is not a draw or pro-am event, therefore no one is available to help them land the fish. - Sara
