This is true. Really cool thing to mention actually. At the same time Penny has this whole other side of her. She CREATED Team Star and then set you up to completely trash it. She's quiet and shy but that doesn't stop her from dissing Nemona and especially Arven. So while it would have been nice if her battle theme could have included elements of Penny, this is Cassiopeia's theme, like you more or less said.
I remember hearing Geeta's fight theme for the first time and immediately recognizing how INCREDIBLY Spanish it is. The music in this game is really great and fun
The E4 and Champion themes are more celebratory than individual pieces since it is for Pokémon’s 25th anniversary. You can hear just about every e4/champion theme in each song (and even more major battle motifs in Geeta’s theme)
Adding to that, champion theme is also the last theme composed by Junichi Masuda before he quit back in June, so it's natural that he would make the last song he'll make for Pokemon be a compilation of past.

I think it makes absolute sense that Team Stars themes are all flashy bombastic bangers, while the Elite 4 and champion theme are more classy and subdued. I think that fits really well actually. I like all of these themes for different reasons.
In general I think every battle theme really fits its respective character or situation really well, much more so than in previous games. Soundtrack kills it in these games.

Sada/Toru theme is just, my absolute favourite theme in Pokémon rn. It hits harder when you played Undertale, cause of certain stuff Toby does. It's just, aaaaaaaaa. All opinions are definitely 100% valid. Pokémon team and Toby Fox went nuts with every one. But that one is special to me.
I am an Understand trash, SadaTuro theme is my favourite as well as both Area zero and i never thought Toby had a major work in SadaTuro theme for some reason lmao Thought it was just minor arrangement change from him, but no 🙏

The Team Star and Sada/Turo themes may have gone straight to the top of my all time favourite Pokemon battle music. Previously it was Diantha's champion theme from XY, but I think these two might have just jumped ahead of it.

I am worried about Paldean characters & Pokémon Masters EX I mean, we have the Naranja Academy uniform and the Uva Academy uniform, oranges & grapes, even if we have Juliana with naranja outfit and Florian with uva outfit, based on the trailers, were 90% of the times, she is naranja and he is uva, what about Nemona & Arven? I mean, we could havr girls with Naranja, so Juliana, Nemona & Sada, vs Uva boys, Florian, Arven & Turo, but even if we do that, Sada & Turo passed away, they're now AI, can we have these type of trainers? Btw, if we ignore that, the music would still be a problem, because as Paldea has long themes, we all now that themes in Pokémon Masters EX are no longer than 1:30, and Paldean themes are between 2:20 and 3:00 before loop, so, most probably these themes will be getting cut

She wouldnt notice this for sure. I know it would not change your opinion but ils a little detail.
I feel great that I didn’t experience any kind of mayor glitch in the game , like the elite 4 for example, but at the same time I’m sad that I missed the fun of seeing a lot of Pokémon flying and glitching horribly ☠️
I was very surprised this generation. All of the battle themes are good, but what was even more surprising is that the open world ambient music was a bop every time. Area zero was also sooo good.
I get sinnoh vibes from the e4 for some reason I don’t know why. The start of geetas theme has the heart gold soul silver red and lance theme which is nice and I thought they would give such an epic theme to her.
The professor's theme is probably my favorite theme from any video game. It reminds me of stuff I write especially at the point he starts sending out the paradox pokemon also you're missing when it turns really good, at the second paradox. Team star boss is great too.
The professor fight I like that it stays in the same place musically for so long to accentuate its intensity because it also creates SO much extra tension and frustration (in a good way). We’re stuck in this battle not going anywhere and need to endure until it’s over.
My favourite theme for this gen is actually the nemona champio theme. I just feel it has so much story hidden in the tune and really reflects her character as both a rival and a champion level trainer. She's probably grown to be my favourite trainer too actually for the way she's been written defintely favourite rival in a long time so it just wraps in togethor. Love penny and Team Star too though :D Giacomo got that TALENT

Penny's theme starts off super hard, like the persona she had as Team Star's boss, but then unravels and reveals who she really is. Can see that in her team as well, starting with the dark and mysterious Umbreon and ending with the complete opposite in Sylveon.
Champion Nemona’s theme is probably my favourite theme in the game, tied with the final boss theme. Just like the Ace Tournament, its just so uplifting and fun. Geeta’s theme was a relatively high stakes battle, against the person you’ve looked up too for the entire game, deciding whether or not you become champion. Nemona’s theme is just you and your best friend battling for fun, you just happen to be the strongest trainers in the region.
I remember Penny's theme the least but after hearing it again, I underestimated it and it's a banger although for me, I like Team Star Boss theme and the E4 theme a bit more

Bro there was a whole second half to the Ace Tournament theme which kicks it WAY into gear and then does a really good low key sax buildup to a finale, while also working well to loop back to the beginning
Academy Ace Tournament being that low is a massive crime. It's already unique in that it's a jazz piece as a battle theme which is very rare in the series. But the clincher is it also has an amazing sax solo that builds up to a finale in it's second loop that you didn't get to hear that elevates it to one of the best themes in the game. It's very reminiscent of Dolphin Shoals from Mario Kart 8. That song also had an amazing second half that you never get to hear in-game unless you watch the Highlight Reels.
Academy Ace Tournament is such a end of the adventure mood, but with a major sprinkle of the end of the day at school vibe. I do kinda wish though that for the first one - every one we fight got slightly different versions of the theme, considering this is kinda the real Elite 4 fight of this game.
Stg the full Elite Four theme has the exact trumpet riff from the Final Fantasy 4 battle music. Penny's music being composed before Giacomo had even met her is so much fun. I have a feeling that if he had known her, he would have gone *even harder* with it because of how difficult it was for her to do all this. god the last fight hits so hard. The overtones of the theme being so triumphant because *even the AI wants you to win* but then it gets swept away by the harsher tones because the security system is the real final boss and it refuses to let anybody overcome it...nnngh! and the way it opens on such a crystalline sound! It really gives the impression that you're fighting something far bigger than a sad robot--you're fighting the lingering will of their creator, and you're fighting Area Zero itself. Star, the weakest of the plots? huh. To me it was the absolute strongest of the main three. Made me VERY upset because it was just too damn relatable.
My top 3 battle themes are all in your top 4. 1. vs Cassiopeia 2. vs AI Sada/Turo 3. vs Team Star grunt My no. 4 and 5 picks (if we include all the OST) are Area Zero and Academy Ace Tournament.

Just like how Wielder Volo’s final battle theme didn’t go straight into the main rhythm but not after you click off the “challenge you to a battle” message. I’m sorry I didn’t finish watching all of your Violet playthrough but, this is what I’m thinking. 😅
It's a shame both my playthroughs of Scarlet and Violet had the E4 and Champion themes Glitch because they're actually not too bad. Not as good as some of the other themes but definitely better than the 10 second loop I heard. It's hard to pick between Penny and Sada/Turo's theme since they're both just amazing to listen to. Would the treasures of ruin not count as boss battles because they are not trainers? They are technically boss battles because they are legendary Pokémon with a catch rate that’s basically zero with how hard it is to catch them, also their theme is actually the best theme I herd in the game.

For all the hype Nemona gave Geeta, she was probably one of the easier battles in the game. Her ace should have been Kingambit imo, not her own wig (which is made to be a lead Pokemon).

I think in contrast to their normal theme Hop has the better final theme. Nemona didn't even get any cheering from the crowd... I think sword and shield has the better soundtrack in general.

the Elite 4 of gen 9 was a joke. the Victory road was definitely the WEAKEST in the entire game for me. I'm just so burned out on the concept of the Pokemon League and the gym challenge now.

In Penny battle theme there is a little SwSh Gym Leader theme (around 1:04), which is a nod to the fact that she is from the Galar region.
I'm sad, there's actually an amazing part on the tournament battle theme that got cut out due to the shorter viewing time :(

And Clavell theme as a A, SadaTuro ad a S
It's a shame both my playthroughs of Scarlet and Violet had the E4 and Champion themes Glitch because they're actually not too bad. Not as good as some of the other themes but definitely better than the 10 second loop I heard. It's hard to pick between Penny and Sada/Turo's theme since they're both just amazing to listen to. Great to hear your reactions to all these songs
Geeta's theme is pretty cool. The references to gen 6 and the Spanish influences are good additions to her theme.
The guitar in Geeta's theme makes me melt every single time 💖

They are technically boss battles because they are legendary Pokémon with a catch rate that’s basically zero with how hard it is to catch them, also their theme is actually the best theme I herd in the game.
I also had the glitch where the music stuck on the first few notes of the E5 theme

honestly i thought the E4 first 5 notes sounded more ominous than the actual theme. I liked Rika and Hassel but Poppy was bleh and Larry while it made sense, also felt bleh
For all the hype Nemona gave Geeta, she was probably one of the easier battles in the game. Her ace should have been Kingambit imo, not her own wig (which is made to be a lead Pokemon).
Yeah I just thought it was odd that she put the toxic spikes pokemon at the end but I was pretty under leveled so it was a bit down to the wire
Nemona admires Geeta but has also far surpassed Geeta(by Geeta's own words) which is such an interesting character detail

the Elite 4 of gen 9 was a joke. the Victory road was definitely the WEAKEST in the entire game for me. I'm just so burned out on the concept of the Pokemon League and the gym challenge now.
