He means "I am no Rastafari, I don't know their lifestyle" he's not dissing Rastafarians he's just saying he isn't one. But he knows reggae because of a Rastaman (Bob Marley). Shortened version is I'm no Rastafari. I had to listen a few times too to get it right.

This song reminds me of my cousin Warren Justice Akee known as Sonny Boy or Aken Boy to us Torres Strait Island families in Sydney. He will be sadly missed by us all especially his cousin from Poruma Island & Cairns. I think the confusion is that it sounds like he is singing "because I'm a rastaman" but he is really singing "because of a rastaman". Brilliant song and it's made my summer driving down a road singing the song with my daughter. She loves Buffalo Soldier so she knows reggae too... because of a rastaman.

Bo has it right. He is just saying that he is musically inspired by Bob Marley. Bo loves reggae but knows nothing about Haile Selassie and all that Rastafarin lifestyle. He loves the music of Marley but wants nothing to argue with Haile being Jesus, Messiah and so on. I love this song because Bo respc Marley for music. Bo can find his own Jesus or Haile or whatever he want. I say it is a beautiful tribute to the 'Rasta man'.

The lyrics are actually correct on the vid bu. It wouldn't be grammatically correct to say Im no Rastafari because the word "Rastafari" is actually a name of Haile Selassie. Just FYI cuz. Aloha!

Bo Napolean is an awesome singer with pretty good beats to his songs. But most of his lyrics either contradicts or doesn't even makes any sense. just my 2 cents.
NO...Rastafari is a name...a man named Tafari (Ras means king) who became the leader of Ethiopia in the early/mid 1900's.....his name became Halle Sellase when he was in power.....Rastarians or Rastamen believe he was god incarnate on earth...so no its far from the same thing...and no, the lyrics aren't dumb

I not a believer in Haile Selassie. He let thousands of people die of starvation in his land and was so 'spiritual' he did not even realize. He did say many wise words to the world when on his time for stage, but he is not God, nor Messiah, nor Lion of Judah.
Bible says 'Lion of Judah will break every chain and give the people to victory' Haile peoples are still in the chains.
Haile is great man but a false god. Rasta people need to smoke much ganja to convince themselves he is right one.
