I love using acryl gel/ poly gel because my husband gets headaches from monomer. Thank goodness I have something to use to build new nails. When he finally gets to go back to work, I'll be able to do acrylic nails again. I live acrylic nails.

I haven’t used this product yet, but I’ve used polygel this way. I always cure the underside as well as the top to ensure it gets fully cured. This is my favorite way to do nails on myself.

You couldnt get much easier could you? So easy and a lovey shape too. When i first used an acrygel i didnt use iso alcohol on my brush.... and oh my goodness what a sticky mess it was!! Great video, I'm just wondering about the strength of this method, I've read different opinions on whether it should have more structure and would like your opinion, would you say it's got enough strength as it is or could it do with adding say another coat of the polygel to build more of an apex? I'm a beginner still trying to find my way 😁

danielitazai yes, I saw the video of her doing an ombre with this, BUT I'm asking her if she will do an ombre WITH a dual form AND Acry Gel. Her ombre video was without dual forms.

You would basically treat it the same as any other in full, maybe filing a little more to thin out the previous color....unless ofcourse, you are changing to a clear design/glass nail...that's a whole other process lol I can sculpt nails, but I use dual forms on myself since I'm not left handed. I haven't used dual forms to do my in fills yet though, but I know Kirsty did a video on how to do it.
I love the concept of the gel nail and form I watched several videos tried on my self and noticed stress cracks so i thickened the apex they are better but not great?????? them did a full set on a client they look great and thick enough to me but within a couple of days they were all off help

I can't speak for Kirsty, but the dual forms I've been using have quite a curve already, so there's no need for pinching. Also, since this hardens out relatively quickly, I'm not sure you even could pinch it like, say, fiberglass gel.
Can you use topits when natural nail is reallu flat- no C curv what so ever? Could you do a video on it. I bought topits and acrylic supplies from your site but can't get it to work.

Have you tried cutting back the forms? I don't use dual forms on clients, but I have a set for my right hand, and I cut them all to fit me perfectly. ^_^ Good luck and lots of fun!
Wait so is acrylgel just like poly gel... I’m very confused with that as I’ve been searching for a kit to buy to start doing my own nails. Could poly gel and acrylgel also be used together?

I'd really like to see you using this for 3D work, because every acrylic gel I've tried so far pulled itself level too much to create, say, a nice looking rose.
As long as you've got the apex and youve properly prepped the nail then it won't snap straight off since the apex is what gives it strength but if you don't know what you're doing with dual forms then it most likely will snap
Different brands call them different names but they are all basically the same. Some just have grids on the outside to make it easier to make them the same length, and others have more or less curve.

I used 50% alcohol and it was sticky too. Shouldve used higher percentage of alcohol

Amelie Ruppert you can build with a form cure for 10 seconds, pinch and finish curing!! I have a similar product. It’s amazing!!

What do u do if the sides are too big but the Apex area is perfect whereas other sizes are not?
