My dad was on Iwo with the 21st Marines for 34 days. You said that he served at Iwo and Okinawa. That would have been almost impossible. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th MarDiv was on Iwo from February to late March of 1945. The battle for Okinawa started on April 1, 1945 and consisted of the 1st, 2nd, and 6th MarDiv. The timing of the battles would not allow him to be in both battles.
My father passed on 8 of August of 2024. In 44-45 he was in the Pacific on the USS Massachusetts. I will never forget the stories he told. We must never forget what the great generation did for this country.
We have a plaque marking when the Marines left Wellington for overseas. Plus there are markers and memorials to the young marines. Even today, people speak highly about the US troops. Colin, New Zealand.
The Marshall Islands are where my grandfather fought in the invasion of Eniwetok. Miss him every day, was the toughest most fearless man I’ve ever met.
Thank you for your Service, I wish Americans would get their stuff together and help one another and stop the madness. I would give you my life in a minute. I have donated to others to find out everytime I have to wait for a new debit card 12 days just received one today. I wish I could say what I want but this is more important to even hear this man speak. For it a very rare thing, for my granddaughter went to the grave with many secrets in order to live a somewhat and decent life. All I can say about this. God bless everyone and America. Thank you again Sir.
As a child I would pester my grandfather and great uncles to tell us their stories. It would have ended with us sitting in the floor listening and asking questions. But thanks to Rishi and several other patriots my children and grandchildren can sit and listen like we did.
My popop and both his brothers fought in europe and one was 16 they fought through Europe and then he fought through Korea hell highway! I think of him daily and wonder what a 16 yr old boy got that courage!! I have his bronze star-and display it proudly
Fine gentleman. I wonder what kind of accent he has? I had an uncle on Okinawa….he said it was quite the party! Then on to occupation duty in Japan. I miss him.
If this veteran a survivor of two beach landings fighting the “Japs” for every foot of beach until they could find cover. So preach somewhere else or listen to the man.

You said it best "They Gave Everything so We Could Have Anything."
Love the interview, but the preview is about 45 seconds too long. 😊

He was on Big Mamie?! Wow. Went to Batteship Cove a couple or few times when I was a kid in the very late 80’s early 90’s.
Did the Massachusetts go to iwo. Did he ever say anything about it. I grew up next to the Massachusetts. It’s a great museum
God bless your father! I have had so many people in my life leave me this year. I salute you and your father

Salute to this man, my father was in europe, 101st airborne, I feel compelled to say this,
trump dishonors these men.
Fine gentleman. I wonder what kind of accent he has? I had an uncle on Okinawa….he said it was quite the party! Then on to occupation duty in Japan. I miss him.
This guy sounds like he is from the upper Midwest. The wood paneling isn't changing my mind, either.
Definitely.
Do you think you could interview Korean War veterans?
0:53 this intro is perfectly stated
How long ago did you do this interview?
Hard times make for hard men...
Hard men bring soft times.
Soft times make for soft men....
Soft men bring hard times.
Also where is this man from?
Plaese delete the blasphemies. THANKS!
Where are the blasphemies please? I didn’t hear any. Thanks and GOD BLESS!

Nice guy- too bad he is trusting the Pope for his salvation.
You are singularly uninformed
Now the two of us are dually admonishing you.
Errrrr
Why?
