    I'd love to own an Arius one day. Thanks for the review.

    I have the textured version too and it’s my favorite knife and my most carried. Cuts great, great action, great worker, ergonomics are fantastic too. And a lifetime warranty just tops it all off.

    I personally love a stiffer detent. My Brian brown raptor has a crazy tight detent but I think it’s because of the dlc coated blade. The arius has been on my bucket list for years now. I have a feeling I’m going to need to buy one in the next few months now.

      arius is amazing, im super pumped for my mini arius

    If anything the detent might be strong because they were rushing to get the knives made but they definitely wouldn't have designed it that way...I believe the second one is more the norm... But have heard of people getting different detents 👊🏼

    thats what I want is a strong detent. have one, I got in 2020, and its pretty soft. it still fires out with authority, but I was surprised at how soft it was.

      They certainly are very different especially on the middle finger flick. I normally prefer the stronger detent but on these the lighter one is soo comfortable. even the acoustics are better on it for some reason

    I have 3 Koenig Ariuses a batch 6, 5, and 9. My batch 6 Arius is stiffer compared to both of the other Ariuses. It is probably all of the batch 6 Ariuses that was made with a stiffer detent.

      oh interesting!! which ones your fav

      @@KnifeStandards The batch 9 and 5 have very similar detents, I barely notice a difference between the 9 and 5. If I could only keep one of my Ariuses I’d keep the batch 5 because it has the texturing and anodization. My 9 is a plain jane.

    Just scored a patterned arius. Pretty excited to check it out and now Im curious about what the detent will be like. Will be cool to compare to my other higher end folders also from Shiro, Holt, and Cheburkov to name a few. Great comparison!

    I sold my style 55 and have gone back to a small pj sebenza as my only knife. I’d like to get a flipper delete mini though. Something about a flipper doesn’t sit right with me.

    • @KnifeStandards
      @KnifeStandards  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hope you got alot for the style 55! lmao why dont you like the flipper? I mean I get it some flippers are annoying but this one feels great to me

      @@KnifeStandards Ti framelock flipers are relatively easy to make which is why you see so many. But why spend $900 plus for Holt, Herman, Koenig, etc. when Chinese companies are making them at a fraction of the cost. I do not like frame locks or flippers, so I'm saving a lot of money.

    Was lucky enough to score one of these at retail. Such an amazing knife now if I could find a timascus clip for it.

    If I was gonna have two Arius it would have to be flipper and non flipper and one in all ti and one with CF scale but that’s just me. Good vid mate 👊
