    Question: Where in the bible does it say "we must forgive" ...where "no forgiveness" has been REQUESTED? As christians, we must seek the forgiveness of the father in areas we have fallen short and have offended, whether through words or deeds. So how is it, that the FATHER would required of us to "forgive" where none have asked or seeks forgiveness? Are we to be trampled upon by offense habitually and continually, or unfairly and unjustly treated and act as if "the thing never occurred"? Would God have us pretend "no offense exists" when it in fact, it does? Wouldn't we "be haboring a lie" while attempting to walk in truth? And wouldn't God "see it and know it" since every heart is laid bare before him? How does one walk in the truth which they were given, while haboring a lie? Because we say "we forgive" when what we;ve done is "dismissed an offense" in an attempt to put it "far from us" in obedience to what we believe we're supposed to do. Yet, the hurt and pain bares witness against us that no "real forgiveness" has been given, so we struggle to release what we ourselves have been holding! God shall deal indeed with every offense we have suffered and those who caused it! But he has NOT required that we be the "door mat" or the "rug" of any - to be trampled upon at will! The "loop hole" that you speak of is the REBUKE. that is owed and due when offense finds its way to our door step. For while it is true that , "It is impossible indeed but that offense should come, but woe unto him through whom they come" .. it is ALSO true that WE ARE TO "take heed to OURSELVES: that if your brother trespass against you - REBUKE HIM!!! THEN IF HE REPENT - FORGIVE HIM!!! That's bible. In no case, are we to walk around harboring pain pretending "all is well" when it is not. And when you don't know you have a right to "rebuke" for wrongs committed, and believe you must "take it like champ" and pretend the grace of God has allowed you to forgive when your hurting inside, it will indeed destroy you!! God is indeed a healer, but there will be "far less that needs healing" if we would follow the WORD and REBUKE that brother or sister (in love of course) for the offense they have caused! How many times should we forgive them? As many times they REPENT!!

    • @abeniadeoye8358
      @abeniadeoye8358 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @danettechavis, you are spot on . GOD requires we repent for us to receive forgiven, and JESUS also commanded us to forgive others when they repent.
      I, however, must add that forgiveness from GOD is not released at the point when we ask but rather received when we ask/take it because GOD’s forgiveness was already released in the sacrifice of JESUS. So, even all who haven’t repented from sin to receive salvation already have GOD’s forgiveness released/extended to them and when they repent they receive, i.e, access/utilize it.

    • @abeniadeoye8358
      @abeniadeoye8358 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So, we also should pre-release forgiveness. Offenders can only access our forgiveness before GOD anyways when they repent.

    • @marhamdezigns7152
      @marhamdezigns7152 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Saints of God please remember that the forgiveness is for you, you need to keep your heart clean and pure.
      Jesus said that we are to forgive our brothers and sisters 70 X7. However if you have a loved one or a friend who keeps treating you disrespectfully, you have to disconnect yourself from that person. And love them from a distance, that’s a trigger point. You can still show them grace and the love of God that is in you all from a distance . If the person is in your congregation then you get a third party involved. Forgiveness is the key to a lot of Christians bitterness.

    • @danettechavis
      @danettechavis 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abeniadeoye8358 Yes, God had already commended his love to us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us! He did not wait for us to repent before sending forth his son to die for our sins. Correct! Now, that we've received forgiveness and right standing with the father, we ought continue in the new life which has been received. We ought to love one another as Christ has loved us. “If your brother sins against you, go and TELL HIM HIS FAULT, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother”. Here is the crux of the matter: we have not done as the scripture advises. WE DO NOT TELL OUR BROTHER OR SISTER WHEN THEY HAVE OFFENDED OR HARMED US. We are too shocked or too hurt to mention or confess that we've been wounded. We determined to "let it go" and proceed as if it "never happened". It takes root and it yields fruit undesirable to the spirit and infects the sincerity of our walk. For we have not forgiven nor addressed the wrong we believe to have been done to us. We think to simply "let it go" but discover that has not been the case, because we are still affected and feeling wounded. Had we addressed it, as the scriptures say we should - we would have then "released it". But when we think we "know better than God" and handle things according to "our liking" we run into ERROR and CONFUSION. IF GOD SAYS, WE OUGHT TO TELL OUR BROTHER WHO HAS SINNED AGAINST US, THEN HE SAID IT FOR A REASON. If we presume to simply "over look it" and "dismiss it" with no mention of it, while harboring the offense within us - what kind of opportunity have we provided for the enemy to manipulate "hidden hurt and pain" which was left undealt with or addressed? We shall surely say, God deliver me from this hurt and pain I am yet feeling - despite my attempts to forgive, for it yet lingers within me and I don't know how to release it!" But he told you what to do and the manner in which to do it. But the knowledge and wisdom of God was "superceded" by ones own understanding and it led to "dismiss and forget" without mentioning the offense and harm and so the devil has used it as "a strong hold" against you - from which you'll seek deliverance from God. This is not so you can "fault find" at each and every point with your brother or sister, but in areas where you in fact have been wounded, wronged, or harmed. Some have the capacity to forgive "great sins" while others are "tender and in need of compassion". The objective is to maintain a clear conscience before the Lord, not have "ought" against any! Unforgiveness will not accomplish that. So we must forgive, yes! But follow the directions written within scripture, when doing so!

    • @kingdomchild1987
      @kingdomchild1987 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Forgiveness is what I do because I have so many sins I have given up on to keep track of what others have done to me.
      Unforgiveness is disobedience to God.
