My E.S. computer lab got windows XP back in 2001 brand spanking new, when i was visiting it on 20th year reunion last year, some of those computers still being used by senior teachers that used to teach us since it was the only OS they got training from 2001

When the control program for your out-of-production automatic lathe was coded 20 years ago, you have no choice but to use XP. Or with a surprising frequency, Windows 98. Yeah, there exist practical use cases for Windows 98 to this day.
From what I remember, the local schools got a bunch of XP laptops in 2009-10 or so, they got upgraded to Windows 7 around 2012-13, and in 2017 we took whatever scraps were left and combined the RAM and working keyboards before doing a mass upgrade to Windows 10. I would not be surprised if they are still using those core2duo laptops to this day.

If you strip out Areo and the Windows Update Service you can run Win7 on literally anything down to a P3 with 64MB of ram, pretty much anything XP can run on lol

Windows 7 was the BEST release in the Windows lineup. Less bloatware (compared to today), awesome performance, INCREDIBLE UI design. Had to install Windows 7 on my laptop for running some important old software... boy oh boy did I feel the joy. It proves that Microsoft can DO better while also earning more than enough money. But alas, if it ain't broke (= not causing major issue in their cash flow), don't fix it.
Can you use old windows 7 product keys that have been used to "upgrade" to windows 10 to install windows 7 again? I can't seem to get a solid answer anywhere I look.

People bag on Vista, but Vista SP2 fixed many of its issues and W7 is essentially just Vista SP3. Most of the issues with Vista early on came with OEMs just putting a Vista ready sticker on machines that BARELY met Vista's minimum and recommended hardware for it.

Yes, but do you know that are people that didn't even know that Vista had service pack? Unlike XP or 7 that everyone knows about? When Vista installed computers came in the marked, happened the boom of internet, everyone was on messengers (IRC, msn, Yahoo, etc) or downloading (emule, Ares, etc). No social platforms or media streaming yet. So , the new OS had to met the requirements to be used; light, stable and fast. Vista was none when came on the marked and was forced into use by being installed by OEMs. And people had the right to downgrade to XP. What most did. I also helped to replace Vista with XP for many friends that just got theirs new first computers. And that people, not tech savvy, never looked back: they kept XP until 7 gained popularity or even until XP support had ended. If not broken why fix? I still find occasionally old computers that had costed more than 1000€ in the recycling bins with specs that were amazing for XP at the time when they were bought but OK-ish for Vista. and were marketed as Vista capable. I actually saw few Vista computers even in late 7 era (2015 or so) being used but those were powerhouses by the time when they were bought: insane amounts of RAM, latest graphics and the best CPUs at the time. As I said, if not broken, why fix?
The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. Strategy His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent’s hand. The Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender’s part, though be wary of spells. A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if you place something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter’s splash will damage the Hog Rider and hit the card in front of it more. The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent’s go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up Zap or Giant Snowball. However, this strategy isn’t very effective against buildings as the Hog Rider will take a while to destroy the building, giving the opponent ample time to articulate another counter. Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. It is not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King’s Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value. In a deck with several low-cost cards, it might be worth it to simply send the Hog Rider against one building. These decks shuffle their card rotation quick enough, that they will arrive to their next Hog Rider before the next building arrives in the opponent’s card rotation. Long-ranged troops like Musketeer and Flying Machine can snipe those buildings, preserving some of the Hog Rider’s health, possibly allowing it to get some Tower damage. When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings. Passive buildings such as spawners and Elixir Collector have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent’s side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building. Defensive buildings have a smaller hitbox than a passive building, which means if that if a defensive building was placed three tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent’s side, a Hog Rider placed at the very left or right side of the Arena may be able to bypass it due to its smaller hitbox. If the player has a building already placed down in the center of the arena, and the opponent tries to bypass it with a Hog Rider at the edge of the arena, they can use certain air troops to push the Hog Rider towards the building as it jumps over the river, effectively denying the bypass attempt. They must be already hovering over the correct placement, as very quick reflexes are required to correctly perform this technique. For Bats, Skeleton Dragons, and Minion Horde, they should be placed right in front of the Hog Rider as soon as it is deployed. For Minions, Skeleton Barrel, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Electro Dragon, Baby Dragon, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, and Lava Hound, stagger the above placement one tile to the right if the Hog Rider is placed on the left side of the arena, and vice versa. They can also use ground troops to achieve the same result. Somethin

Im still using Windows 7, my new PC came with Windows 10 and it was fine at first, but then the endless updates started. I got my PC to play videogames, not spend half my day in updates. Not to mention some updates started freezing or some shit. Told the computer service to give me back Windows 7, and never looked back.

Used Windows XP until 2012 on my grandmother's old computer. made most of my memories on it. She got rid of said computer when she got her own laptop with windows 8 (yes, windows 8, at this time I didn't get it too long before her). It was sad that it was gone because I had quite some old stuff there I wanted to recover in 2021, before I knew she got rid of it. Ah well, it's gone now, nothing I can do about it :p

Not that I don't prefer 7 and XP but Vista got done dirty; it wasn't that bad, and apparently a lot of the problems people experienced with it was the result of unscrupulous PC sellers slapping it onto computers that were made to run XP, and under the min-specs of Vista.
Fun fact about me, i was one of those windows xp users all the way up until 2017, when i got a much more faster mac with Mojave on it, which i still use, and funny enough I’m trying to bring the old computer running xp back

It's not really any harder than any other system at the end of the day, unless you choose to do complicated things with it. It does take a small amount of adjustment if you have used windows your whole life, though.

Back then A laptop pre installed with w7 Even if it only have 512/1gb of ram It run reasonably well. And you still could get back to XP Now. Pre installed win10 Celeron, 2gb of ram and slow hdd That run like crap And we couldn't go back to either 7 or 8.1 (Actually we could. But say goodbye to drivers) Edit I didn't hate 10. The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. Strategy His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent’s hand. The Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender’s part, though be wary of spells. A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if you place something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter’s splash will damage the Hog Rider and hit the card in front of it more. The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent’s go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up Zap or Giant Snowball. However, this strategy isn’t very effective against buildings as the Hog Rider will take a while to destroy the building, giving the opponent ample time to articulate another counter. Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. It is not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King’s Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value. In a deck with several low-cost cards, it might be worth it to simply send the Hog Rider against one building. These decks shuffle their card rotation quick enough, that they will arrive to their next Hog Rider before the next building arrives in the opponent’s card rotation. Long-ranged troops like Musketeer and Flying Machine can snipe those buildings, preserving some of the Hog Rider’s health, possibly allowing it to get some Tower damage. When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings. Passive buildings such as spawners and Elixir Collector have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent’s side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building. Defensive buildings have a smaller hitbox than a passive building, which means if that if a defensive building was placed three tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent’s side, a Hog Rider placed at the very left or right side of the Arena may be able to bypass it due to its smaller hitbox. If the player has a building already placed down in the center of the arena, and the opponent tries to bypass it with a Hog Rider at the edge of the arena, they can use certain air troops to push the Hog Rider towards the building as it jumps over the river, effectively denying the bypass attempt. They must be already hovering over the correct placement, as very quick reflexes are required to correctly perform this technique. For Bats, Skeleton Dragons, and Minion Horde, they should be placed right in front of the Hog Rider as soon as it is deployed. For Minions, Skeleton Barrel, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Electro Dragon, Baby Dragon, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, and Lava Hound, stagger the above placement one tile to the right if the Hog Rider is placed on the left side of the arena, and vice versa. Im still using Windows 7, my new PC came with Windows 10 and it was fine at first, but then the endless updates started. I got my PC to play videogames, not spend half my day in updates. Not to mention some updates started freezing or some shit. Told the computer service to give me back Windows 7, and never looked back.

Used Windows XP until 2012 on my grandmother's old computer. made most of my memories on it.
She got rid of said computer when she got her own laptop with windows 8 (yes, windows 8, at this time I didn't get it too long before her). It was sad that it was gone because I had quite some old stuff there I wanted to recover in 2021, before I knew she got rid of it.
Ah well, it's gone now, nothing I can do about it :p

Not that I don't prefer 7 and XP but Vista got done dirty; it wasn't that bad, and apparently a lot of the problems people experienced with it was the result of unscrupulous PC sellers slapping it onto computers that were made to run XP, and under the min-specs of Vista.
Fun fact about me, i was one of those windows xp users all the way up until 2017, when i got a much more faster mac with Mojave on it, which i still use, and funny enough I’m trying to bring the old computer running xp back

I also did not find this funny, but I think I understand why people do. To find it funny, the audience must already be familiar with the song before they saw the meme, and in the case of this specific video, they also have to be familiar with the history of operating systems. By playing the song as Windows 7 starts to rise on the chart, its takeover is emphasized. That emphasis is the joke. If you don't care about the song or the subject of the meme, it won't be funny.
