I also own a 1.5 GT Virtus Red beast. The car is pure joy. One issue that has been frustrating for me as an owner is the overall body panel quality. I have had to deal with minor dent on roof( machinga from coconut tree), dent on bonnet due to kannimanga and front side fender. All of it had zero scratches but ruined the factory look. Prev generation vw models used to use much thicker gauge sheets as body panels. So If you decide to own a virtus make sure you learn Paint less dent repair by yourself otherwise you are in for a heartbreak. Apart from that, the car, the dsg unit, the drive itself and the 1.5 Evo TSI will blow your mind.

Now when I drive ~110km/hr speed I get 16km/l. Not sure about mileage at 140km/hr speed because I have touched that speed only few times. This was in Bangalore-Mysore and Bangalore-Chennai route.
39:46 he’s saying that the car is running only using 2 cylinders; and then says all 4 are now in use, i believe that is wrong. There camshaft cannot hold the load using only 2 cylinders at the instant. Also, the feature of cutting off the number of cylinders, in a v4 engine is not true, it is available in more costlier cars, like the dodge charger or challenger, which runs using a V8, it runs only on 4 cylinders, and then uses all 8 when performance is required. Volswagen TSI technology does not utilise this feature, please recheck brother. Overall excellent review. :)
When we are on light throttle,the car automatically changes to 2 cylinder mode it's not depending on the speed it's depending on the throttle inputs,while on 2 cylinder mode it's showing an eco logo at the speedometer, and suddenly after I said it's now on 2 cylinder mode, the notification there was disappeared because throttle input had been changed.

@@aldrinpabraham6932 drove a taigun 1 L automatic few days back. Honestly, I did not like it for the suspension is too stiff. Secondly Steering has almost nothing to do with the tyres as if they have separated. Quite disappointing for a Volkswagen.

I still don’t believe in VW 2.0 strategy. Though the car is fun to drive most the parts have subpar quality and hell lot of issues to handle with. Cooling of AC is very bad, camera sucks big time, power window motors make very loud noise etc. Verna is faster and is a better call altogether. Virtus is a beta product from VW, better wait for the next iteration to come.

Nothing like a manual. I like to be more involved with the process of driving. Agreed that a DSG shifts faster with zero loss of acceleration and perfectly matched downshifts. But hey, all that's done by the machine, not you. I like to believe that I AM IN CONTROL. Like they say, “real enthusiasts drive manuals.” To elaborate, I'm again quoting - "There is something inherently fun about being truly in control of your car, even more so as the roads become more twisty and fun. Being able to control exactly how, when, and why you want to change gears immediately puts you more in touch with the car and what it’s doing." I rest my case, Your Honor!

Just like saying manual washing machine is better than automatic since you can feel yourself touching the cloths than the automatic doing all the work.. 😂😂😂 95% of cars used in western world are automatic....Even most of the sports cars are... Its the modern technology.. Automatic without a doubt gives superior comfort... I drive both.. Love my turbo DCT automatic more..
@@sneakyhydra3357 Automatic does give you less control, it makes acceleration less smooth due to aggressive kick-down more so in newer cars, especially DCT cars because it either hungs very low revs or kicks down 2 gears. Its very hard to coax it to not do it so abruptly and its all dependant on milimetres of movement on the gas pedal. Manual mode just makes it jerky on each gear change. Slushboxes are smoother but same is true in case of 8+ gear newer models. Also with manual you have far more capability to restart the car in emergencys even if battery dies, while automatic car is stuck and much harder to tow especially if the battery dies and it has kon mechanical lever like BMWs after 2007. This alone gives people more capability and options. Manuals do better engine breaking and make you aware more of speed you're getting. More powerful SUVs with automatics are making it too easy to get carried away due to lack of input from the driver for gear changes and non-existent sensation of speed. Automatics only job and benefit is making it easier for a less skilled driver to ...well drive. All the while it makes them less conscious of how they drive combine it with driver aids(on which worse taught drivers rely too much on) and you get very dangerous mix of inattentiveness and subpar reactions to situations on the road. People also are more prone to falling asleep and texting in cars with automatics.
😂 1 litre and 1.5 have their similarity only in the nomenclature that is TSi. 1.5 is essentially a reworked version of last gen 1.4 TSi with cylinder deactivation technology added to it. Owner doesn’t seem to be knowing any of these and telling that the only difference is an additional “otta” is absolutely funny😂
Just watch the video fully, he just claimed the only difference between 1 and 1.5 ltr is just the exhaust pipe, which is very true when we look into the looks of both cars and design. Spending money on a turbo /non turbo should have a difference in physical appearance. GT should stand out from normal tsi, even though there are differences internally.
Watch the video properly sherlock, he was talking about the exterior. Only a car guy can differentiate between 1.0 and 1.5 skoda slavia, they are too similar.

I have Kushaq 1L AT and I get 20-22km/l on highways. 1.5 il 22-24 km/l kittum if driven same way on highways because of cylinder deactivation tech.
I have driven taigun 1L MT on karnataka highways (100-140kmph range) extensively. Mileage was 13.5kmpl.

Nothing like a manual. I like to be more involved with the process of driving. Agreed that a DSG shifts faster with zero loss of acceleration and perfectly matched downshifts. But hey, all that's done by the machine, not you. I like to believe that I AM IN CONTROL. Like they say, “real enthusiasts drive manuals.” To elaborate, I'm again quoting - "There is something inherently fun about being truly in control of your car, even more so as the roads become more twisty and fun. Being able to control exactly how, when, and why you want to change gears immediately puts you more in touch with the car and what it’s doing."

95% of cars used in western world are automatic....Even most of the sports cars are... Its the modern technology.. Automatic without a doubt gives superior comfort... I drive both.. Love my turbo DCT automatic more..
@@sneakyhydra3357 Automatic does give you less control, it makes acceleration less smooth due to aggressive kick-down more so in newer cars, especially DCT cars because it either hungs very low revs or kicks down 2 gears. Its very hard to coax it to not do it so abruptly and its all dependant on milimetres of movement on the gas pedal. Manual mode just makes it jerky on each gear change. Slushboxes are smoother but same is true in case of 8+ gear newer models.
Also with manual you have far more capability to restart the car in emergencys even if battery dies, while automatic car is stuck and much harder to tow especially if the battery dies and it has kon mechanical lever like BMWs after 2007. This alone gives people more capability and options.
Manuals do better engine breaking and make you aware more of speed you're getting. More powerful SUVs with automatics are making it too easy to get carried away due to lack of input from the driver for gear changes and non-existent sensation of speed.
Automatics only job and benefit is making it easier for a less skilled driver to ...well drive. All the while it makes them less conscious of how they drive combine it with driver aids(on which worse taught drivers rely too much on) and you get very dangerous mix of inattentiveness and subpar reactions to situations on the road. People also are more prone to falling asleep and texting in cars with automatics.

😂 1 litre and 1.5 have their similarity only in the nomenclature that is TSi. 1.5 is essentially a reworked version of last gen 1.4 TSi with cylinder deactivation technology added to it. Owner doesn’t seem to be knowing any of these and telling that the only difference is an additional “otta” is absolutely funny😂
Just watch the video fully, he just claimed the only difference between 1 and 1.5 ltr is just the exhaust pipe, which is very true when we look into the looks of both cars and design.
Spending money on a turbo /non turbo should have a difference in physical appearance. GT should stand out from normal tsi, even though there are differences internally.

1.5 has blacked out alloys with red brake callipers,A faux spoiler at the rear, and GT badges on the front grill and boot. Red vs blue TFT display though it can be noticed only when you are inside.
