Here in the Eastern Township we have some very nice landscape and plenty of offroad trail we can ride. Hop in with us for this 10 minutes ride in the woods with a beautiful sunny weather. This is a place we've riden often even in the winter in snowmobile. The bridge at the end of the video is actually where we always stop to enjoy the view and is half way into the trail. Stay tuned for part 2 when we take off from our "rest area"!
I am rocking a 2008 DRZ400SM with the 18"/21" tire combo from an S model. While it is not the most capable machine offroad, it does pretty well with stock suspension and offroad tire. I have a 434cc big bore kit with HotCams and a FCR39 carb with the 3x3 mod. My friend is riding his 2003 Kawasaki Super Sherpa that is over-bored to 300cc. He opened the stock pipe and played with the gearing as well as revalved the shock.
It's fall beginning and the tree already started changing color. We enjoyed the sunny weather going to the trail, in the trail and on our way home. That's what dual sport is all about!
Filmed with a Hero6.
i wish they would bring the super sherpa back and modernize it with fuel injection, bigger engine maybe a 350cc and a better gage cluster but keep the same appearance because its a really good looking bikes
That looks so fun
Man, that target fixation in th corner at around 2:40. Glad you made it.
What do they say, don't look where you don't want to go? Lolol
Nice share!!!
Where is this? What state? What trail? I'd like to google map it and hope to go someday.
Looks super fun! What dirt tires are you rocking?
Also, do you find the larger front rotor to be a problem off road at all? I’m looking at an sm right now and getting getting some s wheels to have both sets, but some people in the forums seem to think the larger rotor is a problem.
Hi! I am on a Kenda Trackmaster on the back and a Kenda Millville 2 on the front, although they are pretty done by now. I plan on going with smaller 17" wheel with 60-40 tire as I find the 18"/21" combo too high for me. The big rotor shouldn't be a problem off-road; the front brake barely get used anyway. I too have a set of SM wheel to go on it but only put them once.
Roger's DeeWorks Thanks for the info. Too tall? How tall are you?
You said the stock suspension performed okay. No travel issues? It has 1.5 inches less travel than the s.
@@shielasimpleton7346 I did not notice any problem with the SM travel but the rear will bottom on a bad landing. Also I am a light guy so much likely not overriding the stock spring lol
Roger's DeeWorks Very interesting, good to know. Maybe I’ll consider an S to SM switch instead then. Thanks for the help!
No GS are harmed in the making of this video
Ha, that sherpa smoked the drz!!!
Hey, got to stay in the back if I want to have him in the video :P lol
