The game of golf taught my two sons to be good contributing citizens. I especially am grateful to the ouimet scholarship fund for helping my older son with college expenses. I’ve told him to give back and he has started. Thank you!

If the legal age to start working for children in Pennsylvania is 14 years, why is it allowed to start at 12 years old in the golf fields? The same congressmen who play golf, passed the bill, not fair!!! It is true that there are children at age 12 as tall as their dads, but others at age 12 look like 9-10 years old. Like when we go to a recreational park and there are measurement tapes stuck on the walls to allow little children to go into a some games, we should have something similar in the golf clubs.

@Cole Sullivan The age scares me. From my humble perspective, a child at 12 years old should still be enjoying his/her childhood. Yeah! You would say, but in so many developing countries little children start working at age 5-6, i.e. selling candy, flowers and other stuff with their parents or alone on the streets. So true, but so sad. This is America, "the brave", and children need to be studying harder than ever, playing, resting, growing up healthy, to keep America as the #1 in the world.
