I have some Le Creuset pieces and I love them but they are heavy. I recommend buying a cheaper Lodge cast iron skillet and use it to cook for a couple of weeks to see if your wrists and arms can handle the additional weight when the pan is full. Good luck shopping!
Yes yes yes! I am relating so much to what you are saying in this video. I’m going through these same emotions regarding too much stuff at this “time in my life (57)”. I appreciate you sharing this with us. It makes me feel less alone in the struggle… and yes it’s been way harder then anyone tells you so it feels like I’m losing my grip on normal life. Hope things balance out for us both soon 😬
Jennifer this video has you looking the BEST I have ever seen you look. You look at least 10 years younger. Your skin, your hair like that your eyes honestly is the best I have ever seen.
Hi Jennifer, I'm also in the process of downsizing clothes, jewelry, shoes, and makeup. I'm also scrutinizing makeup purchases more closely. Overall, I want fewer things that are better made. Regarding Le Creuset, I have 3 dutch ovens and use them all the time (soups, stews, chili, bread, popcorn, etc.), and the medium size most often. Incredible quality and durability; they will last a lifetime.
LeCreuset is always a great idea! Especially if you can purchase on sale. I live in south Louisiana and cook several times a week - these pots last!!!! Go for it!
I use Le Creuset and Staub, both on a gas stove. Staub wins. It heats more evenly, and some special edition shapes are beautiful on display. Also, the colour of Staub enamel is more vibrant. Another benefit is that the black inside didn't discolour. Le Creuset enamel inside is cream-coloured, and after some use, it turned brownish.
I have a Le Creuset dutch oven. I've had it for 10 years, it is still perfect and I don't think I'll ever have to replace it. I have it in the blue and it's beautiful :)
I have a le creuset dutch oven oval and it is amazing! Yes it’s heavy but it is considered the best Dutch oven in terms of even heating. I bake apple crisp and sourdough bread in mine along with casseroles! It’s very versatile 😁. Also I love that blue colour!
I have many Le Creuset pots/pans and they are FANTASTIC! They cook so evenly and are also beautiful to serve in as well. Truly an investment but worth every penny in my option, they will last a lifetime and beyond. I have a fry pan from my grandmother ( from the 1940s ) that I am still using regularly today. . However they are quite heavy, so that maybe something to consider. Hope this was helpful.
Le Creuset is a fantastic product; however, I really enjoy my Staub pieces more. Both are French, but the Staub has a black interior that holds up better over time. I know Staub can be purchased at Williams and Sonoma and other specialty kitchen stores.
Great review! Get both Le Creuset- they will last forever when properly cared for- as long as you do not mind the heaviness. I've had mine for over 20 years.
Hi Jennifer 😊 I can tell you le creuset are brilliant yes I can recommend the skittle pan, which I've had for years now. Brilliant review. I'm interested in treasure and bond. Thank you 😊 Take care. Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo ❤❤
Le Creuset pans with lids are excellent, as long as you have assessed your needs and weight lifting capacity correctly. They beat cast iron in terms of cleanup. I use my midsized Le Creuset dutch oven (round or oval) for so many things: baking slow-rise bread, braising the best coq au vin and beef bourguignon, and for simmering chilis and soups. The large lidded braisers (wide but shallow) are versatile: great for searing and simmering chicken pieces, meatballs, risotto, etc. All of them are pretty enough to double as a serving dish. The "but": the weight when the contents are added. I have a large (8-qt?) Le Creuset dutch oven in a gorgeous royal blue. I got it for entertaining larger numbers. Trouble is, when it's full of stew or osso buco, it weighs a ton. I can tell I'll have to pass it along to a younger household in a few years. Staub makes good enameled cast iron but apparently they weigh even more, size for size. Cast iron is fine, and a good source of nutritional iron if you use it often, but the surface is affected by acidic contents (lemon juice, wine, sweet/sour). So while I like a cast iron fry pan for casual searing, I prefer Le Creuset for anything with liquids.
My pieces have lasted forever. As long as you take good care and don't a piece on a brick floor I can see them lasting decades. Mine also works on an induction stove, so unlike some other pans the Le Creusets moved from my gas stove to electric/induction. I'd double check on that if there's a chance you might some day choose an induction stove.
Love the look The scarf. The Chanel earrings. Love it all. My Nordstrom girl told me she was disappointed in this year's sales offers. And this is Boca Raton!
I love le creuset. They are excellent and will last you a life time. They are great!!!! I have done inherited and some I bought. They are iron, so they are heavy. But great for cooking
You look beautiful! As always :) and love your hair like that with the headband, so pretty. Thanks for all the shopping tips, I will be in the states at the very end of July,…hopefully not everything sells out 😆
Le Creuset is the BEST investment you could ever make! I have several of them from years and years ago, and still use them!. (and blue, mind you 😁)However, I would not get the skillet. The skillet is already heavy, the handle is too short and heats up. Very difficult to handle with hot food in it even with a pot holder. Anything that has even handles is great! Enjoy!
Le Creuset is good but I prefer Staub. Be aware that cast iron is heavy, which makes it a pain to clean and store. I love it for braising, stewing, soups, stews but use a lighter ceramic skillet. Great reviews and recs for the N sale- thank you!
What do you think of the Parfums De Marley Delina trio set? I’m not near a store to be able to smell any scent in person, so hesitant to blind buy but it looks like a great value.

It’s funny. I haven’t had a lot of money, ever. And I have minimal but it’s actually not by choice 😂😂😂I can understand what you are saying. I have to shop smart. And there so many things I want but can’t. But am thankful I don’t have a lot. Does that make Sense ?? I love your hair with that scarf. It’s so cute and adorable. I hope you are ok. Enjoyed the tour through your choices. Tumi though- not indestructible, not the best customer service. Mine came back through checked luggage with entire top handle sawed off. Tumi wouldn’t do a damn thing about it.
