Thanks for the video, some useful tips, such as taking two buckets to aid washing the worms. You mentioned the trip to Brighton for plaice, I'm more used to using black lugworm for plaice. Do you think either rag or lug has the better edge as bait for plaice, or are they about the same as baits go for flatties? Also, I know you're a Solent man, and I'm fairly new to fishing Portsmouth, is there much lugworm action in the Portsmouth area or is it mainly ragworm?
It depends on the area with regards to using lugworm or ragworm. All I can say is the south coast ragworm I think works best . The Solent I always use ragworm unless I am cod fishing then I will use lugworm. If you subscribe you will see a lot of Solent fishing action I will be doing .
Great video, i so prefer how you buy rag in pompey compared to scum but sadly i live in scum so if i buy its by the worm. I subbed when you said you are from pompey. Im from waterlooville but had to move to Southampton because of my work 😂😂😂😂😂

me and my dad use to get king rag of up to 2 foot long from a beach in anglesea, bloody hard work tho . and many years ago
Worm digging isn’t easy and a lot of the worm beds down here are all been dug out.
Essex we do it by the weight
Its strange in different towns do different things even though some of the worm comes from the same place.

I did get some worm from poingdesters at Southampton once which was quality worm.
I would be gutted if I used so much energy for so few worm, where I dig it is not so wet so I backfill as I dig lot les hassle
Brian i agree i wish it was more easy and it is no fun at times. The worms are good quality which helps.
