Hey great video. The most intimidating part as a new pool owner is the chemistry. But I use this Pool Time app which lets me punch in the numbers and recommends which chemicals to use and how much. It’s winter and I just cleaned out DE filter used by previous owner. My hands got numb and I was a tad frustrated before figuring out how to place the filters back on lol. Thank you for taking the time to simplify pool maintenance!
Great video. Covers all the main points. So many potential pool customers are put off by the extra work. Most residential pools can be kept spotless for less than an hour of work a week.
Great job simplifying the process. I agree about the importance of good circulation. Every time I’ve had a mechanical issue the pool went sour quickly. Chemical imbalance and visible debris aren’t ideal but much more forgiving than stagnant unfiltered water.
Bud awesome video bud if you clean your filters to often even if the pressure gauge is on 20psi thats not a dirty filters clean beer then clean filters. If you can't see the water flowing anymore then back wash apart from that the more you stress out about it the more money you will spend
Thanks for the kind words. Yes filters are completely situational and when they need to be cleaned. Just tried to lay some general guidelines out for a new pool owner. Thanks for watching.
Hell yeah 😎 It’s clear you know your pool chemistry and cleaning, as proven by how you explained it in a way that was simple and easy to understand. Great job Chlorine King!
Great video thank you. I am new to all of this as well. One question I have is what is the alternative to using d e that's not carcinogenic? My de filter pump that was put in has no pressure gauge and that sounds like a problem? I appreciate any advice
It depends if you wait until the stabilizer makes it way into the filter. If it’s in the filter you should be good. Or you could add the chemical after vacuuming to waste just to make sure.
Chlorine King Pool Service cool thanks! I also use that one most of the time and also have a Red Baron for leafy pools! I thought I was the only one most guys I ask run the Red Baron as the standard because it’s easier to skim and grabs more debris with each pass but it’s not as fine..
Yea it's terribly to common unfortunately. My company is very different and shows by the success. If you service pools properly no way you can be done in 10 minutes.

Thank you and I agree 100%. Circulation is way less forgiving. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. Look up Perlite. It's a DE substitute and is a non carcinogen. I hope this helps!
Really good video. Well done!
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for the video!!
No problem!
If I add chemicals to stabilize the pool, and then vacuum to waste, aren’t those chemicals leaving the pool with the waste and being wasted?

How do UV filters affect the required chlorine in the pool ?
You use a lot less with a UV system.
Thank you for a great video.
I now feel like I have some ammo to help tame the monster in my backyard.
You’re very welcome! I hope it helps and please share!

Great information! Which net do you use for your route?
Jonathan L Red Baron
Red Baron is the best net I've owned by far
I use the fine silt net from purity pool about 99.9% of the time. I also have a Red Baron for after storms and very leafy pools. Rarely use it though.

I agree. The silt bag polishes the surface way better. Just gives a better finished look.
I was in the lawn business and I never saw the pool guys do all this. They were gone in 10 to 15 minutes
