    Thanks for this clear and concise explanation. I especially appreciated the different "views" or mental simplifications for the VC Dimension, so that one can get a better grasp, since i struggled with that at the beginning.

    @8:27 It is - - + and not + + - Also, you have 3 points and hence total possible ways are 2^3 = 8. You have written only 7.

    Sorry for late reply (after 5 years) but I think there should be 2^n ways for classification (08:50).

      Yeah, right. Total Number of possible functions from a set of cardinality "a" to a set of cardinality '"b" is abs(b)^abs(a). Here we discuss binary classifier and hence b = 2 and a = n. Hence we got 2^n ways of mapping/classificying.
