This is so nostalgic. My parents had this van when I was a kid. I remember that interior vividly. Ours had radio controls in the back seat though, and a cigarette lighter incase the kids smoked.
Right??? We had a bright red 1995 Windstar GL with rear climate controls and rear radio controls. That was the bane of my parents existence for sure! I loved the headphone jacks, though.
DID EVERYONE ELSE GROW UP WITH THIS LOL my parents had the baby blue wind star with the rear seat radio control and i vividly remember me and my sister racing too get that seat in the car So nostalgic it makes me want to cry
Mother used to have one before the transmission died after 20 years of service. She bought it used for around 10k, they weren't lying about it handling like a car half its size. Low gear acceleration could shove you right into the seat, so no worrying about runaway semis behind you, it can easily get out of danger even with the smaller Vulcan V6. Great vehicle, miss it dearly. Negatives were that it was still subject to the axle recall despite not using the Essex engine, gas mileage was poor, the FWD meant it was trapped in the underground garage during winter, and the cigarette lighter and plug was broken when we bought it.
That fuel capacity range you posted is for the 20 gallon gas tank. The 25 gallon tank was an option. My old one got approximately 24.4 highway miles to the gallon
My mom had a 1996 windstar GL same engine as video. We ran consistent 16.2’s back in 2001 while we were in highschool at the local track. Time slips to prove too
I just found this van and it is a cool van with only 66k mile on her my teacher back in 1998 had this van and remembered jamming out in it too it had great speakers in them
Such a cool story. I remember in 1995 when my brother and I were at Boy Scout Summer Camp and we had a 1991 Ford Escort as the family car. When my parents came to pick us up, we looked for the Escort, but didn't see it. That was when we discovered that they bought a bright red 1995 Ford Windstar GL! So, when I found this 1998, while a little different in style and color, it really struck a chord with me, and I HAD to review it! Sometimes, these old vans just hit right.
That's all we have in our driveway! We have a pristine 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Regular Cab pickup with an 8-foot bed (that never has to be made) with 50,000 original miles on it, as well as my 2009 Ford Fusion and my wife's 2011 Lincoln MKX Elite Limited Edition AWD...with bronze seats! I'll have to do a video of it. It has the THX Sound System that's out of this world.
It's getting harder and harder for sure! I keep my eyes open for them, and just hope that whoever is selling, or owns them, lets me film them! I got lucky that this one is at a local dealer that I partner with. Indiana is pretty central for the Illinois/ohio area as well, so I've been able to travel there as well.
Just so happens that I have a video on an Aerostar. I’ve not been able to film a Freestar, though. 1994 Ford Aerostar XL Sport: th-cam.com/video/ARDqwhIsVXs/w-d-xo.html

Same as a little kid my parents own one but they sold it in 2017 and got a 2017 Nissan Rouge
But all that good stuff as well as a cupholder in the second row was in the solid wall seat, the sliding door seat didn't have any of those things.

Awesome Ford minivan from the late 90s I enjoyed this video

Simple and effective, like old school cars
Me too! They make reviewing them much easier as well!

Lovely car
Mint too 😍
I was always wondering why Ford never continued selling a minivan. Anyway nice video. I got no minivan but many other fun cars in my channel.
La línea era muy bonita
I’d probably pick the 05 Sienna over this but not bad
My family had a 1996 ford windstar
AHHHH LOVE IT❗❗❗❗💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Me too!
I like Fords

Same, they’ve made some nice cars, they were better in the past then they are now imo
Not bad actually
Love it I have a Chevrolet venture 2004
given yuo are on the east coast, it is shocking how you find such cars in relatively pristine condition!

In the early 2000s, my family had a 1998 and 1999. Both were junk unfortunately.
Automatic bias lol
Not a very good van, the Aerostar & Freestar were much better minivans.
