Fun ride! So many of us can related to hearing you say, "I'm definitely addicted" after 5 seconds of riding :). Glad you're wearing a helmet. I've had two bad crashes where my helmet saved me.
And definitely yes on mirrors. I have one Hafny mirror on the left and I mounted it below my handlebar instead of above and it's really all you need. You often can't hear cars behind you.
I just bought this and it should be here 7/10-15th. I'm interested to see how it does here in the Missouri Ozark Hills. Thanks for the informative Video !
Joel Hoffman has a 3:20 long video with the settings he chose to get the best performance. Also go to his community page and scroll down and you will find a list of all the settings and what each of them do. Mine went 28mph out of the box and after switching the settings it's now 31.5mph and a bit more torque for better accelerating/hills
@Slow_PEV great ebike for the price!!! I'm switching to a 52 tooth front sprocket so I can help peddle assist at higher speeds. The factory front sprocket is 42 tooth and after 18mph your legs are moving pretty quick 😂. I would prefer to start assisting sooner when losing speed going uphill. Been looking into brake upgrades too. Don't think I want to mess with hydraulic or worry about leaks... or tools for bleeding them. Their's mechanical brakes that squeeze the pads from both sides... unlike the factory calipers that only push from one side and the other side is stationary. I just started researching them... but seems people say they are a big improvement.
A word to the wise, make sure you maintain the charge on the battery regularly. I have an e-bike sitting in my basement right now that's useless because the battery fully discharged over the winter and now it won't charge again. It's $500 - $800 to replace the battery and a real pain in the butt to jumpstart this stupid dead battery.
I believe the 20 speed limit thing only applies to greenway. That being said, on most the sidewalks in town, they are usually narrow, poorly maintained, and often poorly designed to the point I can't go more than 10 MPH on most of them, in many cases, less than 5. Some spots, I can't safely go 1 MPH due to the wonky design choices.
@@Slow_PEV oo dang, come to think of it, I saw something recently that talked about that. In a way it's good since peds are expected to be there; I guess that's why other places try to separate PEDs and bikes too. Lol when encounter PEDS on the narrow sidewalks (especially
True. I always try and smile and wave at people. I just can't stand butt in the air ignorant bicyclists and I grew up biking in Japan and Cali ya know earthquakes and hills lol
@@Slow_PEV Lol I've seen some photos of some of the hills you get in Cali, some of those look steep. Most people I see riding bikes/walking seem decent, but there are a small, select few that it's a wonder they are alive, they'll get nasty with you if you yield to them.
@Optopolis I started with bicycles then longboards and I'm itching to get another longboard just to carve and shred but I have to remember my age and my position as a dad now 😆 ebike is fun enough for me to stay out of trouble.
It's fun, no way it will replace classic motorcycles yet but I think the fact you can go 30 on the back roads or just cruise with pedals or assist is a golden idea. Only issue I had is I ride super hard so getting all the screws perfect took some thread lock. Chinese metal is noticeably more flimsy than good ol Pennsylvania steel!
@@Slow_PEV That's where I dislike the current e-bike laws; it's safer to go with or near the flow of traffic than to be stuck at 20 and get run down. That's where some roadways since I'm on a only-humanpowed bike, I'll avoid em like the plague. As for the material. What you expect, it's made in china XD so much stuff from there is so cheap tho, it can get annoying.
@@Optopolis in Cheyenne I can literally go as fast as traffic. I'm uploading a video today of a full ride through cheyenne from work to home uphill against 23mph wind.
@@Slow_PEV There ya go! The wind sucks when it's only human powered. If it's 30+ MPH constant wind, I usually won't go out and ride. I'd rather walk or not go at all. Although... buses are finally back so that helps some!
Im putting bmx bar it's straight but curve up half of that one height grips are straight out , those bars handles turn in and with a 7inch riser should b just right 20 bucks nice bmx bars blue red and black best bike for the price it's a 2024 wich is good new battery for sure, lol switching just the brake wires so the back will b on the left and you can do wheelies disconnect the motor stop wires

Same with my rc batteries I always try and full charge once a month no longer.
@@Slow_PEV That bike ride looked fun. Have you tested how much range you can get on it yet?
So keep a trickle charger on battery? Do they like being fully charged or 80%
@@lancesudberry209 They like being fully charged but for some reason the manufacturer also advises not to trickle charge.
Thanks!
And don't drain it down to what ?@@Inmate533

Yeah if I see a person I'm going dowm to 5mph but I found out the Greenway is actually 15mph now

Hello What is the max limit of speed ? And what is your opinion about it ? Is it good ?
Nice vid! To say the least, an e bike has been an idea to some extent. I do think there is something there.

Oh damn that's sad to hear. I feel like these bills are hit or miss for longevity. I hope I see 1k miles before I do a full 3kw swap
