If it weren't for (someone or something) 이나 If it hadn't been for (someone or something) 은 영어에서 흔히 쓰이는 idiomatic expression입니다. 그래서 그 pattern을 외워서 사용하는 방식밖에 없습니다. If it weren’t her 오류 If it wasn't her, then who was it? (Ok but different meaning).
@@eunyoungjang3980 생각해보니 조금 햇갈릴수 있는것이 If it wasn't her, then who was it? 하면 라는 말이 현실성이 있으므로 weren't 대신 wasn't를 씀니다. 현실성이 없는 경우에는 가정법을 사용하는 것이 옳고요...이런식으로: If I were (not was) rich I would buy an expensive car. 이런 법칙은 다 알면서도 생각하면 더 혼동이 되네요 ^^

Her kimch recipes hooked me up with Katnip Kimchi today. Now that I know the basic kimchi recipes, I've got myself hooked on the idea of making kimch sauce suiting my own taste. I hope that I can hook up with her in person sometime. If it weren't for her, I never would've even thought of making Kimch at home. I'm getting into cooking these days as I watch her videos. ■ Doing yoga I've been having chronic muscle pain since i had PTSD from a car accident happened back in 2012. I watched many practical videos where I can find some useful 동작 that could help with my pain. Lately I got hooked on kind of yoga stretching since I watched a TH-cam video in which an old lady splits her legs easily. I was very impressed about her yoga. hook up with 는 상황 범위가 아주 넓은데 이성간에 쓰게 되면 대부분 성적인 개념이 들어간 걸로 이해합니다. 썸탄다가 한국표현이긴 한데 차라리 see가 더 맞는 거 같아요.

@@eunyoungjang3980 생각해보니 조금 햇갈릴수 있는것이 If it wasn't her, then who was it? 하면 라는 말이 현실성이 있으므로 weren't 대신 wasn't를 씀니다. 현실성이 없는 경우에는 가정법을 사용하는 것이 옳고요...이런식으로: If I were (not was) rich I would buy an expensive car.
이런 법칙은 다 알면서도 생각하면 더 혼동이 되네요 ^^

I got hooked on Maangchi's cooking channel recently. She got me hooked on making Kimch. Her kimch recipes hooked me up with Katnip Kimchi today. Now that I know the basic kimchi recipes, I've got myself hooked on the idea of making kimch sauce suiting my own taste. I hope that I can hook up with her in person sometime. If it weren't for her, I never would've even thought of making Kimch at home. I'm getting into cooking these days as I watch her videos.
■ Doing yoga
I've been having chronic muscle pain since i had PTSD from a car accident happened back in 2012. I watched many practical videos where I can find some useful 동작 that could help with my pain. Lately I got hooked on kind of yoga stretching since I watched a TH-cam video in which an old lady splits her legs easily. I was very impressed about her yoga. Pacticing yoga stretches every day, my hip pain I had for a long time has to be gone. Hopefully, I'm getting into real yoga in the near future and free from my chronic pain for good.
