I feel like including Sammy in this was basically the studios formal apology to Sammy Lawrence fans bc of how little content there was abt him in The Dark Revival.

Well, regardless of the reasoning, I am just glad he is back. Sammy is a character that has a lot of potential. I will not even go into explaining why that is, since it is so blatantly obvious to everyone except the developers apparently. The way he talks, what he does, everything about him just says 'good character,' and he is extremely underused. I would even go as far as to argue that if the writers just gave him a chance, he would very easily surpass Alice Angel as the character that is fun write.
You get the point, I am just glad that Sammy is back.

These Bendy updates really make the fans happy. Plus, new combat, new environments, & Sammy playing a bigger role than before. We might as well buckle up for the ride once the game releases. And I wonder what bigger role might be explained on everyone's part since Allison and Tom weren't there for most of the game, Henry was in his cell, and so was Sammy. Excited for when we see this vison for the game
I like to think that Bendy: The Cage is basically going to be what Bendy and the Dark Revival was originally supposed to be back in 2019, before everyone in the writer's room smoked that good crystal and decided to rewrite the story into the weird amalgamation of characters and objectives that we have got now.
I mean, think about it, the golden lighting, Sammy having a big role, the story being genuinely dark and disturbing, Henry being present, and Wilson and his Keepers being the _actual_ main threat this time. This is just 2019 Bendy and the Dark Revival's reimagining!
Do not get me wrong, I do not dislike the final product of Bendy and the Dark Revival that we got in 2022. It was just... unexpected, is all. But it was not bad.
I believe that Sammy will turn on Henry, as we can see him looking into a cage, presumably containing Henry. The setup seems quite similar to chapter two if you think about it. Axe placed out of reach, Sammy staring into our souls.
I'm just happy Sammy is back! He's always been my favorite character. :]
@endridadragon Sammy is the boba fett of this franchise. He barely matters as a minor characters but because he looks and sounds cool, everyone wants him to matter and come back.

Surprised no one pointed this out yet, but Sammy is much skinnier in the screenshot. You can see his ribs showing underneath his skin, as opposed to his more buff appearance in BATIM

@@mamba2891 Oh dear god please do not be implying what I think you are implying.
Most likely Sammy will have slowly clawed back his sanity to some extent while Beast Bendy is controlled and is therefore able to help Henry as an ally but unfortunately rapidly lapses once he hears of and then sees his god's revival in the flesh, which is why he's nonfunctional in the ending sequence of Dark Revival. Would fit with the darker theme of this side story especially if their climatic dialogue also contains a promise to get each other out of the machine.

I think a lot of lost ones or other enemies might’ve been tested on in bad ways, due to the other experiments that were done to bendy. Which is why they’re so messed up looking.
I also think in this game, Sammy’s gonna be a bigger threat, at least at first. With Audrey at the end of batdr, it was Alice who got her which is why there was a big part that focused on her. With Henry though, it could be Sammy.
Also, Henry has a wedding ring on his finger as well, which is so sad thinking about how he’ll never met his version of Linda 😭

You know what I want out of this game a cutscene where Joey and Henry finally Talk there stuff out, I think part of the reason no one believes Joey's change of heart going as far as calling the lore broken "which is B.S. by the way" is that it kinda felt out nowhere at first I think a scene like this will really give Joey redemption more credit maybe the game can end with Andy making an ink version of Henry's family.
it was stated that Joey started feeling sorry for the ink version of Henry after falling in love, so it didn't felt that out of nowhere to me,

That is true. The way I saw it was that this Ink Joey was more self-aware of himself than the real life Joey, due to how he refers to Joey Drew. It feels like Joey Drew is more of a character he plays or represents, rather than someone he ACTUALLY is, which fits with the whole "I'm just the memory" bit. Maybe due to having Joey Drew's memories and seeing them as an outside observer, Ink Joey is able to pounder on them and try to be a better version of Joey Drew, with helping Audrey and being there for her when he can as well as being overall nicer and warmer.
Really hope with The Cage we'll see more of this redemption arc with Joey taking the chance Henry is free to support him just like he did with Audrey? Or like you mentioned, to at least talk things with him and make it up to him somehow, for instance by guiding him on his journey.
And with the ink family for Henry well, doubt Audrey would want to create more people to suffer on the ink world. Best case scenario is freeing everyone, including Henry, so they can actually live a life outside the darkness

now i might be crazy, but instead of blood, what if it was red ink? after all, we do see some color in that monster the janitor made. perhaps different shades of color effect the inky residents of the studio

In my opinion, I think the red ink can represent enemies that are very strong + have a lot of health and require blocking to have a chance in the fight.

I have a hunch the cage is gonna be a bit smaller than BATDR was. But either way still excited for what is to come!
@@FidgetyAtticand it was very reasonable as to why. Pandemic hit and affected lots of studios and companies. It’s crazy how before BATDR released and during the pandemic, people really expected the game to release soon and tried rushing the devs. :/

Dont forget that the pit is a location where actual GHOSTS are. There is a note in chapter 2 of batdr that implies that some souls slip from the ink during their rebirth process and are unable to go back. With heidi confirming the pit is where they live. So it looks like we ll not only get unique physical enemies that actually bleed, but also ghost like entities that will haunt us!

The game looks quite beautiful actually. We might be getting this a bit earlier than we've expected.
I’m very happy that Sammy finally gets some attention HOWEVER I hope he gets the voice actor from BATIM because in BATDR his voice actor sounds a lot less intimidating, or at least give him better voice effects-

Dude, his VA from BATIM is the same VA from BATDR. The reason why I think he's sounds less intimidating is bcuz his VA is getting older. Not trying to be rude whatsoever but I'm just trying to clarify that it's the same VA, he's just getting older.

The new artstyle reminds me a lot of the Borderlands series. I don't know if that's intentional or inspired by the game series, but I just see the similarities

Seeing them adding a block mechanic is gonna be a HUGE game-changer! Not only that its finally added after fans requested it but this might add some depth that the game might follow The Darker, Survival-Horror route similar to Resident Evil and Silent Hill's gameplay. Would be even better if they made references to both of these games.
Im interested to see what's to come for the studio. Just wanna say a huge congrats for the Meatly and the team behind the bendy franchise for stepping on this more darker and twisted turn for Henry's story. They really are going to make a spooky game with an incredible atmosphere..

My guess on the game release date I’m guessing July or August only because that game is still probably in beta development but that just my thoughts.
An interesting thing I found when looking at the steam tags of Bendy: The Cage it said it's FPS meaning there will be ranged weapons similar to the Tommy Gun.
I’m very excited for the release of the cage. Where FNAF started dulling down the stories to reach a wider family friendly audience, it seems like The Meatly took Bendy in the opposite direction by allowing it to become more horrifying as it’s audience grew, all while taking delicate care of the story and where it will lead.
I have a theory on Bendy: The Cage. Judging from some of the gnarly looking screenshots, I feel that this game might be the first in the series to be rated M. Like, not only did they say that it would cover more mature and psychological sorts of horror, but also, like, when BATIM chapter 1 first came out, a lot of us were probably 12/13 at the time(well except for maybe me, I was 10). I feel like as of 2024 we’d be totally fine with an M rated Bendy cuz we’ve matured with the series and as people, so an M rated bendy surely wouldn’t be too out of the blue. Also I’d really love to see that.

my personal theory is that Bendy: The Cage is about Henry finding an escape route from the Ink Machine to reality, which could explain the realistic textures. In all likelihood, it is much more probable that it is Henry going to help Audrey. In the latter case, it is very likely that Sammy is an antagonist, seeing as how Allison noscoped him in his appearance during the Beast Bendy sequence in Dark Revival.
I don’t think he will be the antagonist, maybe he could be the deutagonist and he will be with Henry
@@summergolding1539 that could be a possibility, and I personally do hope that he isn't the antagonist, I currently see no other in-lore explanation for why Allison shot him during the ending sequence. It is possible that she has had some form of encounter with Sammy before, but somehow I doubt it.
I hope more future bendy games are darker like this one

Okay, this was good to learn about. Frankly I hope it doesn't come out soon, and that they prolong it to just before the release of the Bendy Movie. At least maybe a couple months before the movie that way die hard fans can go back through Ink Machine, Dark Survival, and Dark Revival before playing The Cage, and be super ready the movie. *(coughs) Superhorrorbro Mike (coughs)*

It looks a lot more inline with what we where expecting from bendy and the dark revival with the more dark yellow than dark orange and the style and tone is similar

They should release the game like they did with the first one, chapters that are released at separate times to build more suspense and the make the game last longer
What I think will happen with Sam is that either you attacked him at the start of the game but alie with him at the end, or you alliance with him at the start of the game and betray him at the end

The part where he says: “You said I’ll be free”
Could be referring to when he was trapped, this can be a hint that Henry has stolen the axe from Sammy

This game’s probably gonna give me a good scare. Especially at the fact that Sammy is back with his “Chapter two” glory or whatever it’s called. When I played Ink Machine, he scared me a ton so it actually took months for me to beat it. If I was in the ink world by Henry’s side, I would probably be a bit aggressive towards Sammy.
