    I have heard Tully preach twice in my hometown. I remember that for a long time, Ric Flair was angry with Tully because that caused Arn Anderson to get his salary cut. When Triple H brought everyone out to pay tribute to him, Tully came out with Arn & Barry Windham and embraced Flair. I am glad that Ric & Tully made peace with each other.

    Tully's story is very inspiring. Reminds me of happened to HBK. These guys have legions of fans and can reach so many and I believe that they have.

    This is very similar to my situation at the moment I am currently single unemployed never had a relationship and get lonely and feel helpless at the same time and yet I still have not lost hope I love my creator more than anything regardless of how severe the situation. Deep down I know he will make a way.

    As a wrestler you were the only member of the Horsemen I didn't like but as a brother in Christ you are a well loved welcome addition to the family. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony with the us. "Diamonds are forever and Gods Word stands true longer than that!"

    This message came at a time when I needed it. A very powerful and humbling confession, words that mean so much to me today; a day that I needed it the most. Don't even know why I searched for Tully Blanchard today even.
    Thank you for the years of entertaining me. Years later, thank you for showing me how a powerful man - from the eyes of a kid - is still a powerful man, to a man that has a child the same age that used to look upon Tully Blanchard as a "hero" (or close enough therein)

    @owaisinus Based on his shoot interview: He failed a test for cocaine in 1989 during his time with the WWF. He'd been preparing a deal with Jim Herd and the NWA that would allow him & Arn to leave the WWF & reunite the Four Horsemen. Herd learned about the failed drug test, however, & declined to hire Tully. Around that time, Herd asked Tully his opinion of Dusty Rhodes as a WCW booker/wrestler, & Tully told him the ugly truth. Dusty responded by having Tully blackballed around the country.

    @owaisinus He gave his notice to the WWF and failed a drug test due to cocaine use before he left. WCW then withdrew the contract the offered and blackballed him as a result of it.

    mr. Blanchard, but didn't you have a lot of money at the time? You couldn't save any of the money, even if the it was in the millions? (I don't want to come off rude, as I am a fan of you since the four horseman days) it was so awesome to see you guys and return for the ric flair tribute! Do you still talk to Barry windham or Arn? (or both) Can having too much pride ever be good? Is there such thing as a bad pride or a good one?

  • @michaelisajerk
    @michaelisajerk 13 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    @owaisinus He messed up his life with the Horseman lifestyle, and when he found Jesus he was able to get back on track. I know WCW was trying to bring him back for an original Horsemen reunion, but were about to give him a crappy deal. (Thus they gave that spot to Paul Roma. Ew.) He has wrestled in the independents sparsely since then. I know he wrestled Jeff Jarrett a few years ago at an indy show for the NWA title. But more or less, he is older now, and has a new life serving Christ.

    @GhostDistortion Unfortunately, that's what it takes for some people. God has to put some people flat on their back to get them to look up.
