  • Ken Ham and his team have a weekly "news" show, reacting to the news stories of the day from a Christian young-earth creation perspective from the Answers in Genesis staff at his Creation Museum.
    Jimmy Snow and I join Georgia, Roger and Bodie as they discuss - Creation Museum upgrades; A committed sheriff; An intolerant chairman and more during Answers News, broadcast live from the Creation Museum.

    Fun fact, their are actually no mannequins at the creation "museum".
    They are actually employees who lost the will to live and Ham just posed them that way and left them.

Plus, many of the 'sealings' were conducted behind his wife Emma's back (and behind the backs of the husbands of the women who were already married), so I don't think everyone was a consenting partner to the polygamous relationship.

    6:04 It's so ironic, that for normal paleontologists, who adhere to normal (rational) geologic reasoning, the preservation of "trace fossils" (such as trilobite tracks) and other finely detailed elements of the sedimentary record, would imply a very quiet, low-energy environment where very fine-grained sediments could settle very slowly to preserve these features. this is completely incompatible with the sort of catastrophic flood that Creationists envision.
    The entire concept of Noah's flood seems so colossally absurd, that it's important to remember that disproving it actually comes down to these sorts of arguments.

  • @EdwardHowton

    I'm glad Ken's mother no longer has to see her psychotic, dishonest son make a living from exploiting the gullible anymore.
    I might feel mild pangs for Ken Ham if I believed for one second that he were capable of feeling anything for other human beings. I remember too well that interview with Dawkins where he showed his true colors to believe otherwise.
    And that "are human races equal" plaque tells me I'm right. I can guess what's on there. A big, bold quote-mine from Darwin's subtitle, "[...]preservation of the favored races" followed by the intellectual equivalent of several elbow nudges, meaningful winks, and (for the slower guests of the creationist theme park) a nice, conclusive "DO YOU GET IT BECAUSE DARWIN WAS A RACIST WHICH MEANS ALL SCIENCE IS RACIST DO YOU NEED US TO EXPLAIN IT SOME MORE?".
    Scumbaggery makes me feel less than charitable. And since I'm facing my own oncoming death and expect nobody to give a shit, I don't see why I should extend any courtesy to a poisonous piece of garbage like Ken. People die. Elderly mothers die. At least she doesn't feel any shame at being Ken's mother now.

    • @ros2456
      @ros2456 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I am no fan of Ken Ham but I'm sure his mother actually was proud of him considering that Ken was raised to believe this nonsense by his parents who were also young earth creationists. He too was indoctrinated at an early age.

    • @EdwardHowton
      @EdwardHowton 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @rps2456 Oh, I'm sure she was comfortably sunk into the exact same bullshit Ken was. More's the pity. Think of it as not wanting to speak ill of the dead. I _could_ say the world would've been a better place if she'd died of polio in infancy or if she'd kept her legs shut, but then I'd be a real asshole. I'd be _right,_ of course, but I seem to be the only person who cares more about being right than being nice.

    • @EdwardHowton
      @EdwardHowton 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Kevin McDougall There's a difference between nice and simpering. Cutting into someone with a sharp knife isn't nice, but surgeons do it all the time to save people. Being a simpering suck-up to people might seem nice, but Ned Flanders never helped anybody, he just convinced himself he was a good person by spewing the moral equivalent of glitter.

      Btw, an _actually_ literal interpretation of the Bible (as opposed to a Fundamentalist interpretation) would be polytheist, more specifically henotheistic and probably Mesopotamian beliefs about the Anunnaki in particular, as the Genesis cosmology reads like a summary of Sumerian and Chaldean beliefs and most of the words in the English Bible pointed to when saying One Omnipotent Triune God are mistranslations of polytheistic terms such "the gods" and "the sons of the gods", and specific divine titles such as "Lord of hosts" (referring to the armies of heaven).
      This would mean that the solution to "the incomprehensible mystery of the Trinity" is that God & Son are a Literal Father and Son, mirroring the account of An and Enki.

Sure, I thought they were both separately created, but it was beyond obvious that there was SOME relation. Perhaps one was a derivative of the other, a "model 2.0," etc, but there was NO DOUBT in my mind, as it was beyond obvious by comparing the skeletons of humans and other apes, facial features, the hands, ears, eyes, etc, that man was correctly classified as an ape in the same way that finches, peacocks, chickens, and ducks are all birds. It's all a matter of varying the proportions.
