Hey Mike My son bought me a Dremel 3000 for Christmas. So, I thought, go to TH-cam and see what the guys & gals, have to say. Well I have watched a few videos, but your vid just hit the spot right off. The whole approach and manner in which you delivered your review just hit the nail on the head. i'm now looking on-line to se who has the plunge base in stock, things don't seem quite as easy to get as over in the States. But it's going to be one of the first things I get. Thanks for the video and advice. Hope you had a very merry Christmas. Cheers, Mac
Thanks for the video. I purchased one at Lowe’s and thought best how to use it before I plugged my dremel in! I still read the book that came with it, but your video added to my confidence in using my new tool. I don’t like surprises or hard lessons!
I really enjoyed your video: First of all your camera, coloring, clearness is exceptional. Very very clear. I like the organization of your workshop. Especially the tubes, and cabinetry. Your instructional guides, the video itself, has good sound. Finally, your teaching of tools in straight to the point, and very very helpful. Moving forward and backward all included on the video, sounds etc. is good. Not a lot of people know how to do a video, and again your video is clear. I keep talking about the clearness of the video, is all good. Keep up the good work with your instruction videos...
So, I'm on the 'tube since I just 3d printed myself a router attachment for my dremel and wanted to look at maybe some alternate models to design and I see my old buddy Mike with exactly what I need to see. Miss ya buddy! - Matt from BDG
Hey Mike! Yeah I’ve found Dremel makes tons of inexpensive, “good enough” for the task accessories. I think they’re a great way for anyone who has little to no experience and wants to get into routing along with many other things to learn how things work in a relatively safe way. Glad you showed this plunge base is not only one of em, but remains useful through all experience levels. Thanks! and hope you enjoy the trip back here in NY😉!
I love your workshop. Everything is well organized. I noticed that specific tools are grouped together - blew my mind. I bet "Red" is your favorite color.
Hi Mike 1st thanks for doing these very informative videos I notice you said the Bigger spanner fitted into the various little slots and I agree it would just fall out BUT it you notice there is a slot opposite side of the Stop rule and that is where to store the big spanner, :)
great video mike, i just bought the router attatchment 335 (Birmingham UK) and im now confident to give it a try after your video, thanks you and iv subcribed too x
I am looking for a way to slip thru black walnuts, so I can use the cleaned shells for decorations in craft projects. Any ideas? I love the video on routing. I have a Dremel and I am finally finding time to use it. Will it cut thru black walnut shrells
I wanted to pick up some info on this router I seen it on Amazon.. I had the stock one that came with my stock first set .. model #395 ,, that’s the one ..I use it for everything ..for a lot of ways electronic, modeling, fabrication , and even machine shop duties.. I want to a early spring yard sale , the Gentleman had all his Dermal stuff for sale The Red Dermal tool carry Box you have a tray for your bits, that was model#395.. also ..hey Thank you I don’t get out much and don’t talk too people much ..I stay to my self I lost my arm and thank god I had the Dermi there I use it for pilot holes . In woodworking to de bring an edge ..well you know .thank you sir. Mr.Black Dog Out . Always I use corded tools me and cordless machines have Issues.. I also subscribed thank you 🙏 blessings sir.
So far I've found the router attachment to be quite frustrating. The plunge assembly is too loose on the vertical guide posts making it difficult to impossible to route a straight line even using the edge guides. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Useful thing to have in the toolbox Mike, I usually only use mine for small engraving type stuff. Good tool for its intended use - I use a Bosch Colt for any small dadoes or roundovers, and go to the bigger Porter Cables for any of the bigger stuff.
Thank you! I can’t get my depth gauge nuts (top one) to turn? Will oil do the trick? Should one start at a certain depth for the first pass, apologies if I missed it!
You need to make an outline if what you want to cover and stick to it. You're all over the place. Your nearly 30 minute video had about 5 minutes of useful content about using the plunge router base.
Is it possible to turn off your vacuum system and or air conditioning whilst recording a video? The noise is unbelievable. I t would make your videos much easier to listen to. Just an idea. :-)
Have just bought one, first thing I have seen that explains its use. From a Brit who is currently in lockdown. Thanks You Tube for keeping me sane!
yeah i am on lockdown in south london i was just going to buy one but wanted to see what it is used for now i know

I may be a little late in this comment but as a guitar builder I use the bits from Stewmac and they are wonderful! Thanks for a great video!

Love the channel 👍🇺🇸... for smaller routers I use the Bosch colt 1.25 with plunge base
i only watched this video because it was so incredibly CLEAR!....awesome..what type of Camera did you use?
The videos i have seen the plunge movement seems shakey. What effect does this have on your work?
I am looking for a way to slip thru black walnuts, so I can use the cleaned shells for decorations in craft projects. Any ideas? I love the video on routing. I have a Dremel and I am finally finding time to use it. Will it cut thru black walnut shrells
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Mike. Your videos are crystal clear, you must be using a good camera!

Great information. Thanks dude!
Can I use a dremel to put a rounded edge 3/8 or 1/4 onto a laminate countertop prior to using an epoxy coat.
Will the #335-01 plunge base fit rotary tools other than Dremel?
Unfortunately no it won’t
Great job! best I have seen. Thank you!

Extremely helpful video, thank you
Good video. You have shortage of a camera assistant. Now you have to move many times towards the camera. But it is good exercise
Great review Mike I’ve been thinking about getting one for a month or two
Have a good week
Great tutorial! What model shop vac is that?

Lovely
Hearing protection might be a good idea.
Why not use your dremel to mark which one is your lock off handle, or mark with paint.
Thanks Mike - just got on on sale - Thanks for the tips
Holy Festool
Awesome man..... thanks so much!
does dremel 4300 fit to dremel plunge 335?
Thank you! I can’t get my depth gauge nuts (top one) to turn? Will oil do the trick? Should one start at a certain depth for the first pass, apologies if I missed it!
Nice Video. Quick question: How deep can I go?
great info
Kenneth Buxton thank you very much
Great info thanks for sharing new subscriber. Cheers.
Great video! I am curious, have you ever done any lettering with this?
20 bucks on amazon right now. I went for it.
Are the results good enough (compared to a real router)?
Esse homem fala demais
Or you can buy a $70 Stanley medium size 1500w router.
You need to make an outline if what you want to cover and stick to it. You're all over the place. Your nearly 30 minute video had about 5 minutes of useful content about using the plunge router base.
What state are you from? You’re accent sounds familiar
Triple H I’m originally from NY
I can see the dept stop from way over here on a clear router base... good grief
Would be nice if he could talk more!
