In the second Gen, Brown Eyed Girls wrote and composed their music, a lot of SNSD b-sides were written by the members, in Gen 2.5 EXID also wrote and composed their music. In the 3rd Gen MAMAMOO has a lot of creative influence over their music, Moonbyul is the second female artist with the most writing credits in the industry. TWICE also writes a lot of their music, the Eyes Wide Open album was almost entirely written by the members. In Gen 3.5, Dreamcatcher has a lot of writing and composing credits in their albums. That’s just to name a few. And well the in 4th Gen there are a lot, including IDLE leading the list. Of course, that is most impressive about IDLE is that they write/compose/produce/arrange every single song and also are the creative directors for their concepts, they lead their entire production. They suddenly disbanded last year without any notice and everyone was really upset about it (including them). Their song Rough is probably their most iconic/popular song. omg the myspace and messenger lyrics... so genious! and omg i never watched the tomboy MV entirely but the rap is awful and soyeon can do better, which is a shame since the rest of the song kinda rocks... and I actually dont know if Idle wants to distance themselves from the stereotype but i do believe the group itself is difference since they have tried different concepts and Soyeon produces the music and i do think other memebrs writes the lyrics, so not your common girl group over there...
just an fyi the whole point of "tomboy" is the whole double meaning of how being a tomboy shouldn't be defined as wearing "manly" clothing but rather how clothing shouldn't have a gender and that's why they're still wearing clothing people wouldn't normally define as "tomboy clothing" also when they said "just me idle" they are referring to their group name, not the word idol
