Actually, TH-cam is how I found you!! I was struggling with the print then cut feature on my Cricut Maker 3 last night. I was able to take notes last night & today & can't wait to try it out tonight.

This was a helpful and encouraging video, thank you! Hope the beginner series continues. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been overwhelmed and intimidated by their Cricut. It took me almost a year to take it out of the box. Hopefully soon I'll unwrap the plastic and actually start using it. 🤓

Sometimes I still feel like I’m “new” to Cricut so while I’ve learned so much & been able to make a number of projects successfully, I appreciate this video, Amy. I replied to another person’s comment & will share a tip I shared there: with design space regularly updating, older videos might add more confusion for those who are really beginners.
I’d love to see more beginner videos on your TH-cam channel - no doubt I will learn more - I don’t know what I don’t know, so thanks for sharing your knowledge!

After having my Cricut for years I finally took it out in Jan this year and I have been creating and am loving it and getting to know my Cricut and create new things daily
YESS you did it! Opening it is one of the hardest yet biggest steps to crafting 👏🏼 it makes you wish you opened it sooner!

When I got the Maker 3 (I started with the Cricut Joy, which I placed on top of my big printer and didn't have an issue) it threw my ceramic Snoopy desk calendar on the floor - . -" and forgot that measuring thing... You made me laugh when you came to that situation.
oh my gosh!! haha i'm glad I wasn't the only one who experienced straight up TERROR with that tip lol, we learn from our mistakes the hard way sometimes!
Thank you for this video! It's so helpful! Do you recommend getting the cricut machine that comes with the essentials bundle and access subscription? It's strange to me that they have it on sale and it basically costs LESS than the machine + essentials bundle alone. I feel like they really want people to get the subscription. 😅I wouldn't want to keep paying for it but if I can just cancel it then it seems like a good deal. I feel like there's a catch though that I'm not seeing.
If you don't feel comfortable with downloading your own designs yet from other websites, I'd suggest getting it! It's great to do a little "trial" with the access subscription and their materials before going all in :)

I have found Cricut to be extremely confusing and frustrating to use. I kind of regret buying it.
Sorry that has been your experience so far. I waited probably 4-6 months before trying mine. Like Amy, there are some really great TH-camrs who have shared great information, demonstrations from start to finish & more & without needing to pay them. I recommend checking for some with one additional tip: as Cricut Design Space is regularly updated, so some videos might add more confusion if they’re older. I have definitely learned from Cricut Learn, too. I honestly hope you have the chance to try more & can start to enjoy it. Oh - there might also be local craft stores or scrapbooking shops that offer classes in your area.

You are right, there are great youtubers who take their time to show beginners how to use Cricut but honestly, for the price of the Cricut, I don't think one should have to view tons of videos to learn how to use it... For example, the first time I wanted to print a name, it was printing with the letter our of order.... I had to stop and find a video that showed me how to do it right..... which is ridiculous, it should print how you have it in Design Space...... Anyway, sorry, I'm venting at this point. Thanks again.

starting any new hobby can be frustrating and overwhelming, it's all about taking baby steps one day at a time. keep pushing yourself to learn and don't feel defeated if something goes wrong! That's where I come in and I'm here to help :)

@@AmyMakesThat I completely appreciate people like you who take the time to make videos on using Cricut. However, I do feel the Cricut company makes it seem like it's user friendly and anyone with computer skills could use it, but I could not disagree more. It takes watching a lot of videos to do simple projects and given the cost of the machine and the materials, it should not be the case. I have spent hours and hours watching videos because it's so complicated that there is no way one or even a couple could explain their very complicated features. Once I learned how to do something, I got stuck again and had to watch yet another video. I have taken many other projects, and none have frustrated me as much as Cricut..... Sorry I'm venting. Thanks again for doing these videos.
