Also fun fact: When horses show their teeth like Angus, that is actually how they smell! They do it when there’s a smell they don’t recognize, or when stallion (male horse that still has reproductive capabilities) smells a mare (female horse). They can also do it when they taste something weird or that they don’t like.
Figured I’d share some of my knowledge. I’m kind of a horse nerd lol.

Just so you know Lauren- it is natural (just rare) to have a two colored mane- in fact my horse’s forelock (hair on head) has a streak of brown. Although it’s not common to have such a long mane- the tail is usually super long
I have a horse with a brown mane and a massive streak of white in the centre .
One of my horses manes gets streaks from the sun, it’s really cool

What we’ve learned from Lauren owning a shelter:
She loves dogs and dogs love her.
She loves cats but they don’t love her.
And she has trauma from a horse biting her.

Actually, a horse bit me once when I was a child. I was just petting it when it suddenly just bit my fat belly. I was all alone & I panicked so I didn't make a sound I just silently tried to pull him off of me, but I couldn't, so I tried slapping him & he finally let go. My belly soon had a giant bruise across it & it hurt really bad the rest of the week.
@Ken Hopping I'm an equestrian and I'll try to say what might have happened. The horse most likely had bad manners or you hurt it, it could've had an injury somewhere and you touched it. Horses aren't usually aggressive, also depending on your age, you probably shouldn't of been alone.
@@JustAnotherPandama The horse wasn't really aggressive. I was just standing there and one moment the horse was sniffing my shirt & the next he was biting me.
@Ken Hopping I never said it was! I said it might of had poor manners or been in somekind of pain, since biting or bad behavior is also a sign of pain *sometimes*
Ugh I cant explain how much I love Lauren. I’ve been have a really bad day, getting to finally wind down and chill and watch Lauren is the best part of my week. 💜

I love this 😂 I'm an equestrian and pretty experienced with equines/horses. Him showing you teeth isn't a dominance thing lol. It Is him smelling an unfamiliar smell or or when a stallion (male horse with reproductive capabilities.) senses a mare in heat (ready to breed.) Or it can be a habit.And when they are on the ground that is called rolling they do it to put a layer of dirt on themselves to repel flies
I have a question? Wouldn’t putting stinky poo covered dirt in himself attract more flies?
As someone who’s allergic to horses, dogs, and cats; I approve of Lauren opening yet another shelter I will not be going to.
