Should use sikkaflex 291 on that through hull

I have found CT1 to have excellent properties. It is cheaper and worked well for me over the years. I have found it to be easier to remove after a long time. If you look at my video trying to remove Transducers where Sikaflex 291i was used, it was a nightmare and took chunks of the hull with it. Excellent sealing and gluing properties a bit too much for some jobs. CTI comes off easy once you can break the seal.

TrunDesign are not nylon, they are composite. Nylon expands in seawater so would be no good. That’s why rudder bearings aren’t not nylon. TrunDesign seems to be the way to go once my Blakes give out. Andy UK

Not the right way to seal them.

@@sailingsheriff3349 7.15 minutes.Spray sealant inside, screw on through hull and sealant will be pushed inside valve

@@Doberman296 thank you. I can see the confusion here and what it may look like. It is not the valve mechanism but the protective weight bearing collar that was sealed as recommended. I agree do not use on the inside of the valve as you will have problems. It’s worked extremely well in the last 3 years so easy to turn on and off no maintenance. Thanks for watching

@@sailingsheriff3349 Collar was before 7.15.After collar you spray on valve connection screw too.Maybe not so much to cause problems but everything can happen. To hermetize screw need use sealant on pipe screw, outside one.
