  • Changing from old stuck bronze to new easy to use Truedesign nylon fittings.

    TrunDesign are not nylon, they are composite. Nylon expands in seawater so would be no good. That’s why rudder bearings aren’t not nylon. TrunDesign seems to be the way to go once my Blakes give out. Andy UK

    Should use sikkaflex 291 on that through hull

      I have found CT1 to have excellent properties. It is cheaper and worked well for me over the years. I have found it to be easier to remove after a long time. If you look at my video trying to remove Transducers where Sikaflex 291i was used, it was a nightmare and took chunks of the hull with it. Excellent sealing and gluing properties a bit too much for some jobs. CTI comes off easy once you can break the seal.
