When you were talking about scratching the case, you did scratch it with the screwdriver.

Yep, I know. I started to do something when editing the video to draw attention to it, then decided to not mention it. But that is how easy it is for sure! In this case it was not too big of a deal, but you can imagine having something very rare...

@@ke4est yeah, it's no big deal. I just thought it was ironic. The tiny scratch in the cadmium plating probably won't hurt the value given that it is already not in perfect shape. I have a similar VTVM that I picked up from a flea market. Some of those precision resistors are tough to find and I don't recommend replacing them unless they are out of spec.

@@JasonTHutchinson Yes, I only do so if they are out of spec. You will see in part two I had to "Make" some custom resistors. Too expensive to special order.

@@ke4est I have one of these V-6 vtvms and i found that moisture or water got under the metal case of the 6h6 vacuum tube( first time seing one with a metal case instead of glass)How can i test the tube to see if its good?
