Your cover of the song truly helps one to understand the meaning of a scapegoat, which is the child that can do no good and always screws up. They often feel left out, carrying everyone's burdens and troubles on their shoulders. The difference is that scapegoats are often deemed scapegoats themselves by their narcissistic parents, but Yuu made himself this, having reoccurring nightmares of his family being slaughtered and blaming him for their deaths.
