Today, 9th of march, 2014, I turn 20, and Godzilla has now reached 60. Since I discovered him in 2007, this video, the first I saw starring the big G, has left an everlasting print on my life. And, when I myself turn 60, Godzilla will have reached 100. And I hope he still remains for our children, and our children's children. Long live Godzilla, King of the Monsters.
I was such a staunch Godzilla enjoyer around 2007-2008 when I found this video here, among also seeing Godzilla 1998 for the first time, seeing Cinemassacre's Godzillathon, playing Godzilla Unleashed on Wii, and just generally binging Godzilla videos on TH-cam, videos that still exist today. I so badly wanted to see all the Japanese Godzilla movies, but due to living in Sweden it was nigh impossible to find them. I remember seeing a box set only containing Godzilla 1954, The Return of Godzilla, and all the 90s Godzilla movies, but for some reason never got around to buying it until nearly 10 years after the height of my enjoyment of Godzilla. Good ol times.
Been watching this video since I was in elementary when I could remember as a much as I could now born in 1999 and still a die hard Godzilla fan and will be till the day I die he will always be among my best favorites and I feel everyone here feels the same
Man... I haven’t seen this since I was eight. 12 whole years, and I somehow haven’t found this until now. This was the video that got me started on Godzilla to begin with.
As a kid in this shot 2:28, I used to think that the bottom left of the screen was Godzilla’s head. But as an adult, I realized that his head is on the right side of the screen and it was actually his hand the whole time
The first video I saw on TH-cam! I doubt that TH-cam would be relevant in 2054, but when that time comes, I hope that you would make another Happy Birthday Godzilla video for his 100th birthday. That way we can look back and see how far Godzilla came throughout the years! :-)
Nice Job,41 year old guy who has been in love with Godzilla films since first watching Godzilla vs King Kong as a 6 year old in 1972. I remember getting into fights in grade school with kids who thought King Kong won..LOL. Take care and good film for your first vid..
I was in the fourth grade and I had watched this video a lot when I was staying after class my teacher gave me a funny look and she said “well whatever floats your boat”
1954-1975:showa 1984-1995:heisei 1999-2004:milenium 2016-2018:reiwa 2014: Godzilla 2017: Kong skull island 2019: Godzilla king of the monsters 2020:! Godzilla vs Kong!
The video's intention seems to be to show all the monsters, not a scene from every movie. However, I do have the complaint that they prioritize screen time for some pretty bullshit monsters. How is it that Anguirus, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Spacegodzilla and Destoroyah have less screen time than Ebirah, Gabara and Zilla?!
Yeah, just hearing the "Godzilla March" theme music makes me feel like a kid again. Everyone always laughs because I still enjoy these movies at the very advanced age of 41..but they were a big part of growing up in the 60's and 70's.
Technically, that is false. Godzilla (1998) and Zilla are legally separated characters. The director of Final Wars wanted the 1998 Godzilla to be in the movie, because of the contract Toho had with Tri-Star, this was possible but the creature had to be renamed. This is also shown with future merchandise like the X-Plus Deforeal series line, so due to copyrights and licensing the creature in 1998 was introduced as Godzilla but in 2004 a new creature was introduced as Zilla. To put it short, both are legally separate characters
Dang i remember how strong the zilla hate was back then, this video was made as a tribute to godzilla history (though it did miss some movies whatever) 1998 Godzilla whether you guys like it or not still is a part of Godzilla’s history
They are going to bring him back for his 60th anniversary in 2014! Long time to wait, but I pissed myself with excitement when I read this!! YAAAAY!!!!!
In a week from now the king returns to the big screen to battle his archenemy once more. Honda would be proud of his legacy. All hail to the one true king of the monsters!
Used to watch this over and over in third grade, now I'm a junior in high school and I still love the shit out of this video.

Been watching this video since I was in elementary when I could remember as a much as I could now born in 1999 and still a die hard Godzilla fan and will be till the day I die he will always be among my best favorites and I feel everyone here feels the same

This was how I discovered Godzilla 12 years ago! Thank you for uploading this or I never would have become a fan!
I feel so much nostalgia watching this!!!!
As a kid in this shot 2:28, I used to think that the bottom left of the screen was Godzilla’s head. But as an adult, I realized that his head is on the right side of the screen and it was actually his hand the whole time
Holy crap, why do I still love these movies so hard?!?! Thx, I picked up a couple of titles I hadn't seen before!
I remember this video from when I was little and I would repeatedly watched it without caring because I loved it that much

This video is pure nostalgia
To this day whenever I hear that track from 2000 this video comes to mind
I remember watching this when I was 10 now I’m 20. Still love this video
Damn, I remember I used to see this over and over in 2009-2010, when I was a child, thanks god this video hasn't been deleted.
One of the first youtube videos I've ever seen
This was the video that got me into Godzilla brings me back to 2007
"G's Decision" and "Godzilla's Theme" are my #1 favorites when it comes to Godzilla music.Sweet vid!
yah, and for good reasons, that sudden burst of fire with the music at 2:54 was amazing. good edit
The first video I saw on TH-cam! I doubt that TH-cam would be relevant in 2054, but when that time comes, I hope that you would make another Happy Birthday Godzilla video for his 100th birthday. That way we can look back and see how far Godzilla came throughout the years! :-)

Without 2014 we wouldnt have had a revival of the franchise, thank 2014 for Minus One

Best Godzilla video on youtube. The music fits so god damn well :D
Can't stop watching this, it's awesome
You forgot Monster Zero, Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla vs. Gigan, The Return of Godzilla, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
These movies used to scare the hell out of me when I was little
Btw I think u missed Godzilla vs Gigan in the Showa Series :/ awesome vid tho
Yeah, just hearing the "Godzilla March" theme music makes me feel like a kid again. Everyone always laughs because I still enjoy these movies at the very advanced age of 41..but they were a big part of growing up in the 60's and 70's.
¡¡¡¡LARGA VIDA AL REY!!!!
I remember watching this when I was a kid back in the early 2000s
Happy to the KING OF THE MONSTERS!! GODZILLA !!!!
R.I.P Godzilla you will always be in our memories ;(
Why is 'Zilla" included in this.. this is a Godzilla tribute not a zilla tribute still an awesome video though!
Ennio Mongioj Zilla may be the most hated but he's/she's part of the kajiu family!
Because it is still Godzilla. There is no denying that.
CreamyDoggo Toho officially renamed it Zilla....
Technically, that is false. Godzilla (1998) and Zilla are legally separated characters. The director of Final Wars wanted the 1998 Godzilla to be in the movie, because of the contract Toho had with Tri-Star, this was possible but the creature had to be renamed.
