Being a Christian doesn't mean doing whatever you want and not dealing with the consequences of your actions - there is accountability. He knew exactly what she would do and he was ready to accept his fate. Otherwise, he would not had let her go. For example, if a woman has sex outside of marriage and gets pregnant, God forgives her for the sin but she has to deal with the consequences of her pregnancy and raising a child - that does not go away. Forgiveness doesn't mean hiding the sin and not taking responsibility for it. No more than when a child does wrong and gets some form of correction , does that mean the parent didn't forgive them. It error to think that Ashley somehow betrayed him, if anything, she woke him up to the possibilities of life and not death and destruction.
When the enemy whispers in your head anything that doesn't align with God's word, obey what your heart is prompting you to do. I even marveled at the part when Brian asked Ashley for drugs and then asked her did she want to do them with Him and Ashley told Him no. I then think about the dollar that she had left to give while getting the free book from her church she put that dollar in the collection plate that same dollar that she snorted drugs with as an offering to GOD to say that she needed help with her addiction and that she had believed that GOD could help her.
Rumor is that she knew him and he wanted her to receive the money for the award for turning him in. This is stated by other Atlanta residents during that time. For her sake, I hope that isn’t true.
