Both you and seki sensei are doing an incredible job to keep these arts alive, and to teach as many people as possible, especially considering seki sensei's huge level of skill.

And with styles, everyone's body is different and so this translates into large offsets in actual motion. For example, I've got really long legs and a shorter upper torso. So I'm kind of like a T-Rex with little arms, very pointy elbows and some extremely long legs. So when I practiced martial arts in the past - it was always awkward no matter what belt my training partner had.

I also train in musho shinden ryu, and normally we have an online meeting with a Japanese sensei, but because he is busy, we haven't done that in a while
did you ever hear anything about the okuden tachiwaza having several more katas than the 11 commonly practiced today, that were dropped for unclear reasons?
I studied Musō Shinden Ryu in the past, and we were taught that the kate Gyakuto was changed after the war. Does Seki Sensei know the old original way to do the kata?
Does the training allows direct feedback on our own practice ? Or is it some one-way follow along ? Real question being, can I be assured that I will be practicing right, not taking bad habits without noticing it myself ?
