When I feel stressed and want to calm down, or want a good night sleep, this is the first song that comes to mind. Coulda been anybody with this voice or these lyrics or melody....it just happens to be iconic Tindersticks and one of my favorite actors which just makes it an even better experience.

i ordered the dvd... after all the claire denis interviews i finally should watch this movie :)
Felt some earlier masterpieces here: Kubrick 2001; Tarkovsky Solaris; Pattinson evoked the Stalker too. Not too many filmmakers can capture the remote and the alone--it could be space or earth. And the dogs scene--I felt it as an homage to Laika. No living creature as alone in space as she. And the story trajectory the same as in High Life--no plans to bring her/them back.

You can love it but personnally I didn't find any moment where I could connect with any of the characters. And for me that's the biggest turn off. And add at that the ambiguous ending and I was just like : well...
It's just I truly couldn't connect with the story. Characters were more kind of unidimensional for me and the themes didn't resonate as much as it could. It's like the character of Mia Goth : why did she sacrificed herself? I didn't even got to know the character and she dies in a disturbing way (wouldn't be as disturbing if I knew the interiority of the character but I didn't)@@michaelahirawani4061
