Hi, This is very lovely. I have decided that I am definitely going to help my lovely students to make a little autumn house. Thank you! Blessings Susie 🙏🇬🇧
Love this little autumn house❤ Tori, you are sending me down all sorts of rabbit holes. 😊 I really enjoy these videos where you create with music going, so relaxing.
This is so soothing. Such a lovely house and to watch the process makes my mind ask so many questions! Mostly- I wish I understood how you think creatively- how do you know what to choose and what shapes to cut- is it all intuition? or lessons learned? or inspired by someone else's work..? Plus other questions.. mostly How/why questions- I am very much a Why person. But I also know to explain one's sense of creativity is sometimes a big challenge or not even able to be done- it just IS! x
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Sharon :) I think I just go on what looks right in my head which is based on a combination of all the things you mentioned :). I have been creating for years and have been inspired by all I see around me. I was blessed a few years ago to take a workshop with one of my all time textile “idols” Janet Bolton. Have a look at her work :) ❤️❤️
@@KoolKookyKreatures - I will go have a peek at Janet's work since you have recommended her! Have you had 'formal' art training or do you just absorb what you see and are able to reproduce the techniques-- perhaps with some practice or not!? I know from school-- some people just seemed to understand what the art teacher was trying to get at or explain and I just never did.. I loved learning the vocabulary and trying things but I just never seemed to get the hang of drawing or shading or what have you. Everything looks cartoon like and not always in a good cartooning way... lol! Textiles are definitely more for me... I love soft colourful textiles- as I've mentioned before... so I won't go on. ;) Watching you do the seemingly effortless drawing of your pumpkin mobile- it's just magic and my brain doesn't understand how you see things to be able to draw them! I wish I could but I have come to accept that as much as I LOVE paper and all things stationery- my biggest success in that area is babbling on and on in word form! LOL! Sending a hug- I really appreciate that you take the time to write things out to me- and I hope others do read and get information from it too. At least maybe a chuckle! x
Well as a retired person slow stitching seems to be a fun and interesting hobby instead of English paper piecing and everything complicated so I think I will start accumulating supplies . I'm wondering if my supply of neckties would do for some little strips that you put on your base fabric and felt please let me know what you think.
@@clairebenoit7867 your neckties would work beautifully - not only to deconstruct and use but also as a base to stitch on :). I have made fabric jewellery from old silk neck ties :) ❤️
So cute! I love little houses! Did you get the tiny mosaic fabric at JoAnn's? Are your scissors Fiskars? I think this is the first time I've seen you. Thank you!
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel 🤗. The mosaic fabric was a scrap from a pack that a friend sent me and yes - the scissors are Fiskars. I love Fiskars scissors and I have multiple pairs for different things :)
SILENCE Is Golden…..or CAT Got Your Tongue?…one could do an entire series on homes/ houses……..seriously……….I do believe it causes one to pay attention to detailing when music is your background……
Haha yes!! I just felt that sometimes it’s nice to sit and watch something take shape :). I agree that when the talking is taken out it does focus on the detail of what’s happening on screen. I’m too chatty to do it all the time though! Hehe!! ❤️
I love watching your process so much Tori 💚 collage with fabric 😍😍😍
Thank you so much 😊
Lovely! Thank you💕
Thank you Liz xx

Aww such a cute house. Lovely quick project, you could place this on a tag could be a fun one. Thanks for showing us this fun project.
Yes - tags are a good background for a little house. I can imagine your houses would look great on tags Paula ❤️🤗

That’s so pretty. My Nan showed me how to sew with little pictures like that (close your ears) 75 years ago 🤪💖💖💖🌹
That’s lovely Mary - I’m a huge fan of a textile artist called Janet Bolton and she is a big inspiration to me ❤️
