I think the New York color should of been a bit different like copying the Knicks colors blue & orange or utilizing the statue of liberty color with the grey
I (and I can't stress this enough) hate it when the midsole and outsole are the same color...why aren't the outsoles on this black? they look unfinished!
Actually, people did/still do skate in Jordan 1s, because when they originally came out, before skate shoes were fully optimized for skating, and AJ1s were $20 off the shelf at Ross, the leather quality, durability, and overall shape and style were perfect for skating, and became a widespread and often-used shoe for skating. The cheapness was also a major plus, because skaters in the 80s generally didn't have the budget for expensive shoes, and so anything they could find for the same price as a couple lunches were all they could get. So, all in all, due to multiple different factors, the AJ1 became a staple in classic, OG Skateboarding. This was likely the reason this collab was made in the first place.

I really wanted the Lance Mountain 1s back in the day...still mad I missed out. LOL. I'm going to try for these and the other ones...but I also want something else...and something has to take precedence, so we'll see. To @thisismrswing point, I agree with you, however I have the recent Air Jordan 4 (fire red singles day version) and there's a secondary design under the red paint...and I'm actively letting it wear down naturally from wear just to see how unique that's going to look. I am tempted however o just rub off the coat and expose the secondary design at times. LOL.

he shoes actually have small size, but they only get released in Asia, I believe. I went to LA when these shoes drop, and the smallest size that I ever could find is 9.5, however, in Asia there are 7.5 or even smaller.
U could prob spray those with some krylon matte spray paint finish that would add some extra layers of protection to that grey paint to help prevent it from wearing away

I'm a Sacramento king and I'm not to crazy about the laker color way.. not that I wont rock a purple and yellow shoe because I want the laker 13s that are rumored to drop later this year but as you mentioned these are more attainable and I'm definitely not going to go crazy over a laker color way.. dope review bro.. 916

Just got mine today and realize when got home that one of the shoe doesn't have the stitching where the sole and the material connects but the other pair does?
Copped these yesterday through the SNKRS CAM surprise drop. Happy idont have to line up in store for these. Im going to wear the hell outta these. I like the LA\CHI but not as wearable as the NYC\Paris. The red\purple is just not as nice as these in my opinion. These are more subtle.
I mentioned in my video that i personally don't want these. I still personally don't want these not coz of the color but more so on the quality and then matched with that colorway :)

The 2nd angle has a much more natural look and the color seems better. Maybe use that same cam or settings for the main cam too!

How is the fit compared to the AF1? Never tried a pair of AJ1 there are virtually no stores in Portugal to try.
