The landlords plumber who came to mum's laughed at my temporary sink waste pipe fix. I fixed it up with duck tape to the bottom of the sink it's self. Hey ho the waste pipe, is functioning properly and not leaking like it was....

Sounds like MaryCarl really likes the cones more than the ice cream. When you buy the ice cream in a pint, then buy the cones from the store and I'll bet she'll eat the ice cream. When she said for you to eat the rest of the ice cream so she could have the cone, that was the clue.

You know what I found out. No matter how much I stressed and worried, nothing happened any quicker than intended. So save yourself a bunch of stress a worry lines. It’s all gonna be alright ♥️

But it sure was nice of him to offer.
I just about rolled on the floor when Lester started showing his plumbing job and offer his help.. his humor is something else, I love him! You'll get through the plumbing issue just fine. You've got great friends and advisers.

On last night news show, there were pictures of the tornado, it sure tore up some homes but they didn't say where the tornado struck. I pray for all the people who are in a dangerous position in your area. Live for today, don't fret over tomorrow. You are wasting your life away if you worry about something you actually don't have full control of.

An ounce of prevention goes a long way. A mammogram is not 100%, do your self exams. As a breast cancer survivor, I had a normal mammogram and a positive self-exam. No family history. Jason is like a duck; it just rolls off his back. Love you all personalities
To me a thermogram is much better than a mammogram. But that's just my opinion.

Jason Al Lumnah (Lumnah Acres)did the plumbing for their new place in Vermont and had a couple of good videos showing his methods. Took him a bit but he planned carefully and did a good job. He had shower, tub, bath and kitchen sink as well as a floor drain.
I have heard that building a house is one of the most stressful things to do. Prayers for you all.

Everything will work out, my husband and I went through the same thing in the end my choir director’s husband gave us a list of contractors that had done work for them. Just trust that everything will work out in its own time.

Good visit! Thankyou for sharing your adventures! I wonder what the wild pigeons do to keep their babies warm? I homeschooled my sons too! I much prefer spontaneous lessons! A walk in the woods is perfect for inspiring discussions that lead to further studies, and it is much more interesting that sitting at a desk! I went for a short walk near a creek with a friend and her kids several years ago. As we walked around I pointed out interesting plants. Just recently, she said her daughter still brings up some of the things I told her about. It is gratifying! Then I remember that my father taught me about many things that I now pass along! The circle of life! Lol!
I broke down and bought a new coat-jacket with duck down in it! I have never in my 69 years have had a warmer coat than this one! I love it!
To Cog hill farm fans: Lester's a HOOT❣I am a HUGE fan of Ima Survivor sanctuary and hes how i learned of Cog hill farms. He has a great sense of humor an even bigger heart. Dont be mad at him, the job wasnt his best work because he had just lost EVERYTHING in hurricane Harvey floods and was turning this little barn into a place for him and his 2 boys to live. His story is heart wrenching at times and HALARIOUS at other times. It was him just poking fun at himself .

It’s so crazy when you’re doing building/ remodeling. My son is a builder and owns his own company and when he built his own home he even had problems. He had to close his company for 5 or 6 weeks during the beginning of Covid. So his my husband, his wife and kids and himself did most of the work on the house. Supplies were a whole other problem. Things were not shipping, lumber was stuck in Canada etc. but finally it got done! 2 years later we built a garage at our house and the supply issues were still crazy. You have to roll with it or as Brooke said, we would all be medicated 🤣🤣🤣.
MaryCarl is such a precious girl that is more dedicated than a lot of adults! It speaks a great deal about your parenting.
Brooke, So glad you got the all clear on your mammogram. I am a breast cancer survivor, and there's nothing better for your soul than a negative result. Breathe easy for the next year, at least.

Y'all should install a mud room shower in your home. I watch an English program called "Escape to the Country" and the country homes have a shower downstairs for when the family comes in from the muddy outdoors.

We just started buying Ryobi (cordless) we love that the batteries are interchangeable. Ryobi has a Brad nailer, a finishing nailer and a crown nailer.

2 important topics covered in today's podcast......mammogram and the menopause. Thank you Brooke for being open and normalising these conversations 😊 I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39 years old and I am now in a surgical menopause, but thriving!
Please, please, please help MaryCarl create a pictorial portfolio of this pigeon baby rescue! I envision MaryCarl continuing her bird and/ or animal interests post high school and something like this would be super for an application process be it for school or for work! In this case, it wouldn't be an unwarranted, pretty photo shoot but rather a documenting portfolio of what she has done and learned.
