the beats kinda scary for me cause its like a look at what hip hop could've been but it either hasn't arrived or wasn't meant to be. just a whole level of production yet to be explored. RIP Dilla !!!
@@jordanhenderson3307 Dilla told me that that he lied to you, we both laughed about it together. He was considering getting his uncle who works at Microsoft to ban ur Xbox account but I talked him out of it 😅
Hey! Thank u so much for your upload this whole beat is still new to me and I feel curious to dig a little bit more on this Dilla phase, if anybody knows the tape's name tell me about it

Flying Lotus is someone that comes to mind on this track

This is a Madlib beat. It was even officially released by YNQ as "I Remember John W Coltrane", second half of the track
J Dilla told me in person he did it.

Damn... Jay was gonna start a whole new genre huh...
That groove is insane
Love the off-beat drums on this joint! JD notorious for that, kinda like RZA in a way he NEVER quantizes his drums it’s always off natural feel
Amazing, never heard this one before.
Sounds like a Dilla version of YNQ.
I said the same thing, I bet it's from Dilla's jazz tape Madlib talked about.
@@KingNapz hey do you have the source of it please ? thank you

I could see Dilla doing some nu jazz type stuff had he been able to stay around and keep making music
He prop reversed the beat he already made and it aounded like this
1:05 Summer Madness sprinkles?
What tape?!
Im really confused by the drums 🤔
I think it's genius. If you count to it then you can hear the mad syncopation... Also it's in 6/4
