I am so glad that your introduction of the Japanese patterns. Which using the really traditional technique. I do not know Japanese either, there’s a chart for you to follow, also every symbol has the graphics to help you understand . in my thoughts , I would think that is more easy to follow then the Western patterns. I am very appreciated your sharing !
Thanks for sharing this book review Bronislava. I have the 260 Japanese knitting stitch bible, which is a companion to this one and like that very much too. I'm still building my skills up to these. I wish I continued knitting while growing up. I feel like I've lost so much time!
Hello M, 🌹 That is great - I do not have the 260 Japanese knitting stitch bible book, but I have 1000 Japanese knitting and crochet patterns (which is actually pretty beat up) and I am planning to make another video to show what is in that book. We do not have enough time to do all we want to, right? Don't we need 48-hour-days? I sure need more hours in each of my day 😂
Hi M again 😁, yes I think it is important to see what is actually in the book - this one was wrapped up in cellophane and I had no idea what is in the book. This will help future buyers to make an informed decision. And this book is definitely one of my favorite's. I think you have a good point to show my favorite books to my viewers. I tend to like the books that are directed toward more experienced knitters and crocheters.
Hi. This is my second comment that I write within a day, I really recommend you guys to have this book or other Japanese kitting book. I never know Japanese , yet I understand from the chart , I do not have this book but I do have hundreds of Japanese knitting books ever since I started to learn how to knit. When I knitted my first project which was a very simple and easy one . It’s only you willing to put your very effort to it , find out the pages with graphic explanations. I am sure everybody can do it ! Happy knitting to all of you !
Hi, Bronislava! I have such a book in english and I could send you an email of the pages with the declarations or a paper-copy of them if you want to! The patterns are unbelievable beautiful! greetings from Austria!
Hi Doris, what a wonderful person you are!!! Actually I do not have any problems reading the charts - as a knitting and crochet teacher I had many discussions with my students about charts - they had hard time "reading" it - so I always helped them to solve the problems... it is OK that it is in Japanese - I can figure out the symbols just fine. You trully are a sweatheart - actually now that I think of it - it would be great if you would send me pdf of the symbols and its meaning in an English text - I guess I could share it via social media with people that have a hard time with Japanese??? What do you think?
@@HandMadeRukodelky posting it online publicly might be a copyright infringement. The book is quite easily available in English all over the US. Not sure about other countries. It runs about $12-16. Hope this helps.
Hello M, I understand your point, and I am sure Doris understands it as well. I am not sure if in this case it would be a copyright infringement if she sent me by e-mail the English text translation as we both already purchased the book. However, as I mentioned to Doris I do not have any trouble understanding charts and therefor I do not need it 🌹 AND I do appreciate you looking out for authors, because they spend hours and hours of hard work and people then share materials for free. They sure loose out on their earnings. A different story is if an author shares her/his work for free from her own will. Again, kudos to you for your comment - it is wonderful to remind all others not to give away authors' work for free. Thank you.
yes M - I was talking about the symbols only - next to symbols is an explanation in Japanese, Doris has it in English... as pdf I meant just that one (?) page with symbols - not entire book... I see your point maybe that is wrong to do? maybe not... not sure if that is an infringement to share symbols translated from Japanese (or other language) to English (or other language)

Such gorgeous patterns! Thanks for sharing!
Hi darlenevm, yes they are gorgeous and you are welcome 🌹🌹🌹
I love these Japanese pattern books but was afraid to buy them because I dont think I can follow
Hi Tebarda, and did you buy it in the end? It is only the graphs, not many written words... You need to know how to read graphs
Also, I'd appreciate you sharing a video haul of your favorite knitting and crotchet books and what you like most about each, if possible 😊. Thanks!

I think I need to make another video about this, so knitters understand more about your input - much appreciated Betty 🌸
