Nothing to be scared of, my girlfriend is Honduran and im American and I love it there. While taxis and other things are obviously not as developed as the states, I can never say I felt in danger in the country.

I returned from San Pedro Sula last week. I had a great time. The only time I felt in danger was whilst driving. From the news and some YT videos, I thought that I'd never make it out of the airport without being shot or mugged. However, San Pedro Sula is no more dangerous than most cities. I may be working in San Pedro for a few years. If I do, I am going to hire a driver as there's no way I'll brave that traffic every day!
