I don't remember the original having such an amazing drum part (I think even I would have noticed), so I have a feeling this has been heavily Kalonicated, to its considerable benefit :-) This is an example of you changing the song from "ok, but nothing special" to "where is the replay button"!
I like footlose song very much.. I remember when I was in the stadium in Cebu city where this song was the background and I enjoyed listening at the same time dancing a little inside the building..
