Im sorry, but im a new player to lorcana, and if you want to play highly competitive decks it costs a fortune. You simply cant get hold of chapter 1 cards.
Whats crazy is like your totally right but this is still cheaper than any other major card game haha. Yugioh and magic people walk i. With 1-2k decks or more. Just focus on the stables and pick a deck you like. Outside of tournaments your deck can be slightly off and ull b fine. Ruby amythest is always great for new players same is amythest steel (one of my favs) you can build the full meta deck under 150 and will really only spend 20/30bucks per set if ur jus buying singles to keep it going.(either one of those two) and they are 2 of thee best most versatile decks capable of playing and winning any matchup if ur better than ur op
@@rudycaiazza6867 It's my first physical card game, only played hearthstone before. My local club is full of great people. But they have all played since day one and have the best meta decks. Sure i can play cheap decks, ill lose a lot more than i win though. Still having fun.
@@BobBoonah1 welcome to the game. You might have done this already, but if you look around you can find certain decks for less than $200. I know that on the surface this may or may not be a lot for some players, but $200 to have a viable meta level deck is definitely not bad especially if you go with something like Ruby/ Amethyst. That deck has been at the top tier since day one and usually only adds one or 2 new types of cards from the last two sets to keep it strong. It uses the least amount of legendaries and performs awesomely.
@@BobBoonah1 ya most of the winning will come with experience as you learn your matchups and how to play against them. so far this current set purple steel is performing immensely well and doesn't require an investment over 150 to run. its where i started in set 3 when i became a player and im typically top 3 in locals my only tcg experience was non competitive yugioh with friends when i was like 13/14 using whatever cards i thought looked cool haha jus tryna say dont get down just keep learning. even if someone hands u the best deck in the game it wont guarantee wins unless u learn matchups and gain experience. you got this just dont quit
Happy I picked up 3 Rayas for like 0.50 each (would’ve got a 4th if I could’ve found one). I also thought the ability sounded intriguing and definitely a good hedge that someone finds a way to bust it wide open for abuse. Especially if you can get more than 1 out. But for now simple brain me is just gonna stick it in ruby/amber to abuse Amber Gaston some.
I agree that genie is a great card but to check diablo is a bit of a stretch. While it does have evasive, you have to have genie on the board before diablo comes into play. Otherwise you are giving him free draws.
@14:06 "On its own, in isolation, this is a great card, in and of itself." On its own, in isolation, just one of these phrases would have gotten the point across, in and of itself.
Great point about how a lot of these good cards are accessible and budget friendly. Hopefully this continues for future sets too.
9:33 It’s Jim wearing the outfit that was in the announcement trailer! Cool! 🤩
Jim Hawkins shifting and singing Zeus being able to one shot a Hiram makes me want to force it in Steelsong and see how it goes against Sapphire decks
That's a good point. Being able to 1 shot the Hiram is nice!

Not entirely accurate

It just has the ability to check Diablo, especially since if you're playing Genie, you're also most likely on Crab to deal with Diablo at Cove.
I agree on Raya! Such a powerful ability!
It will be interesting to see how people use her in the future!
How does the steel bodyguard Pluto compare with the slightly more expensive Chien-Po bodyguard?
The 1 less cost does make a difference. Both are strong, but depending on your deck and your ink curve, Pluto is usually going to be better.
@@QuantumMercury I agree with you. Pluto is better for aggressive decks and Chien-po is for slower control styles
Raya completely destroyed the location deck that top 64d the last challenge. Card is cracked

Genie and White Rose are by far the best cards this set I feel
Both are in my list!
I just now realized Pluto was 4 ink!!! Wow 🩶🩶🩶
Pluto is awesome!
