One advice brother, do not hold on to the clutch for so long. Not even for resting your hand. I've been to this place recently and this place is meant to be ridden mostly in 1st gear, you can put 2nd gear but only when you gain enough speed. Else you have to pull the clutch slightly all the time to be on 2nd gear, and by doing this you'll heat up your engine and burn your clutch, and burning your clutch in this area isn't a good idea.
@@NiRarider If bad roads max rating is 10. Then Maipokhri is 9 and Mabu is 8. Both the routes are tough but Mabu has less boulder and steepness. Both road meets at Kalipokhari. and your tough time will start from there. that last 6km is really tough with steep inclines. In case of an emergency, you have stay option in Mabu tri-junction road, Kalipokhari & Bikebhanjang.
@@NiRarider Important Note: If you reach Kalipokhari after 1PM, then do not attempt to go to Sandakphu on that day. Even if that distance is just 6kms, it'll take 4hrs ~ 5hrs to reach sandakphu & you'll need that sun light.
@@NiRarider I saw you're from Jharkhand. I'm from Asansol, WB. Google map will show a route to Nepal from Kishanganj. Don't take that route. We took it and it was a complete waste of time. Narrow single lane village road. It's better to enter Nepal via Panitanki border.
